Playerunknown's Battlegrounds
« on: June 23, 2017, 01:15:47 pm »
Just bought it last night and played it for a bit. Seems really interesting! A friend of mine recommended I get it because he needs a 4th for his team.
It's like a huge match of 100 people all playing on one map and then you battle your way until you're the last one left. Feels like DayZ but with no zombies.
Anyone else on here play it?

But it's an Xbox Exclusive.

I don't play it, because I have playing PVP games, but I love watching it. Constantly watching NorthernLion's squad matches.

LET'S GOOOOOO.
WE IN DIS BOYS.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.
If you're having forum problems, I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but your post ain't one.

I was under the impression that it was going to be released for XBone and then later released to PS4. I guess I won't be playing it if it stays exclusive.

Been thinking about getting it. However I just can't justify shelling out that much money for an EA game though.. $37 for an EA game is just ridiculous imo.
I occasionally stream games on Twitch

I play this every night now. It's buggy as hell, but it's fun to play with a squad.

My PC seems to have finally hit its benchmark with this game so I think it's time for an upgrade. I'm running a 660GTX which is the minimum requirements for graphics on it.
The only tricky part is having to install a new card into an X51 Alienware PC because everything is so encased.
I can still play but it takes a good 15 minutes before everything is comfortably loaded!

Yea I've heard it's buggy as well/has optimization problems, and even people with great computers had a hard time playing it smoothly (not sure how true that is anymore). I probably can't run it but I've been watching lots of it as well, I just watch summit1g though.

LDS what PVP game are you playing?

Game has been updated really nicely and I'm not lagging as bad. I've been playing with squads and it's an amazing game! Anyone else playing it on PC? I may have to find out my steam ID so we can get some squads going.

Finally bit the bullet on this after trying it over the weekend with a friend :D It's super fun and addicting trying to get to the end, we made it top 10 a few rounds.

Even without winning getting top 10 feels so good. I need to upgrade my PC as it's not playing to its full potential so simple things like getting in a car and bolting makes me lag which causes me to die easily. I still have a blast playing it though!

Some of the newer patches have definitely improved the performance of the game on my ancient PC.

Well that's the excuse I needed to buy it, had $30 or so leftover from selling off my CSGO skins :P

What's the steam name I give you guys? Should be drpolaris, and I should show up as "Twice Sana" with some kpop grilz as my profile picture.

Just played one game, was really fun, but had to turn down almost everything just to get 60 fps :( Had a hard time seeing things clearly. Right now I have everything on very low except texture at medium, might try to turn up texture to high? Got 1 kill lol, tried to go for another but I couldn't see where my shots landed so I have no idea if I was shooting too high or too low (he was behind a shed and I was behind a rock).

Time to buy a new GPU ;D  My old GTX 960 2GB is playing on medium everything with view distance at high getting 60fps. You can find them on Kijiji pretty cheap!

The part of  "seeing things" though comes with time played. I used to say the same thing "I can't even see where the guy is" and now you play by sound and are able to see them quicker. This is me over 100+ hours, but I know the full time streamers playing this with 1,000+ hours are waaaaaay better! ;D ;D
