nahhhhhhhhh lol

I would have to make account, upload video, blah blah blah.

I will describe the video:

Vidya one! Car starts, starter drags and sounds horrible. Friend is like "oh, she is ready to go!"

Then I walk to the back of the car and the car is all blurb blurb blurb blurb blurb

Vidya two!

Car idling, looking fine in the sun, I do a quick walk around with my fingers in the frame. Driving around the neighborhood. Pure bliss for me.
The 3 is raw.  Lighter than more agile.  The 6 probably feels like a 747.  And by that contrast, my STI probably feels like the Hindenburg.  So GR's are like the International Space Station.

Not much today, changed the brakes, made a fender liner that was missing.

I should mention it was much nicer to drive it into the garage than the other times when I have had to use a come-along to get it in.

Back at it today, put the bumper back on, and Monster Sport rad shroud. RARE.

Yesterday I bled the brakes and got the rubber put on the rims with help from my buddy.

6 car trapped during the nicest day of the year.

POR15'd some more stuff, including the fuel filler neck (known to rust into bits). Used that VHT black trim paint for the wiper valence.

Changed the rear lower control arms, these are the old ones, one side had a busted bushing that was making a clunking noise.

Also started re-assembling and cleaning everything in the interior. I ended up buying that Evo 6 ECU I was using to test the car from the guy. When I picked it up I recognized some stuff about the car and then it clicked, it was my friends old evo 4 that I knew already had a 5/6 ECU in it. He didn't need the ECU and I didn't want to re-pin for the 7 ECU, so that one is staying now.

The other day I also found a picture of the white car I took when I dropped my silver car off. Check out that date.

Thanks! Yeah it was a huge relief when it started running the first time.

Congrats.  How do you like it compared to the 6?

To be honest kind of disappointing, but to be expected. The 6 is perfect, so sharp and precise.

Things I like about the 5: driving without fear of door dings, weather, construction, I had a dog in the car at the same time that my friend was eating ice cream. That’s fun! Because it still has the evolution and Mitsubishi badges I haven’t gotten a single “iS tHaT a SuBaRu?” comment yet. It drives well, needs some coilovers and more low.

Weird, as dogs and ice cream scream subaru. If it was going to happen, it would have been then.

Think how much more time you'll have now that you can walk your dog and your crank at the same time.

Wasn’t my dog, I don’t have a dog lol. It is a dream of mine though, but I’ve made poor life choices and my career doesn’t really allow it.

;D that’s more of an early evo 4 thing

Unless you consider your roommate who's only good at paying rent, you don't have a dog either.

Haven't updated in a while, picture snagged during removal of the engine hoist.

Went out with a few friends to check out Midnight Rev Up and we went for a little cruise after. Friend's car was at the Bride Canada booth with Invision.

Great evo turn out

As we were talking itshay, we noticed that my 5 and my friend`s 4 share a VIN! (Almost). My 5 is CP9A-0000380 and his 4 is CN9A-0000380

Talk about bromance.

Both cars parked now! Working, etc.

I hope it's something cool like an RX-7.

Or an S2k.

Or a 240Z.

Or a Sprinter Trueno.

Oh man, I wish. Sadly no.

I am hoping for an S2000

I will say that S2K was top two of my list of things I was looking for...

I will also say that I hate when people do these honey dicking posts haha, but I just want to get the bill of sale in my hand, keys in my hand, before the big reveal haha. I wouldn't want to look more stupid than usual and get the car sold out from under me or something. Seller seems cool, deposit has been sent, going to pick it up this weekend.
