I want to, but I was warned that the frame has a lot of rust.

It was repaired, professional shop removed all the rust, painted inside the frame, painted the back of the patch, patched it then even fish plated it I think. There is no mention of that in the ad.
The 3 is raw.  Lighter than more agile.  The 6 probably feels like a 747.  And by that contrast, my STI probably feels like the Hindenburg.  So GR's are like the International Space Station.

If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

So Evo 6 body parts for the 3?

I didn’t realize this was possible.

The skirts, rear flares, and front fenders work. You need to trim the top of the front fender, and then when it is all installed you have to sort out how to make the flat front and rear bumpers match up to flared body bits. This is actually a fiberglass front and rear bumper that I think is still available that will fit up to 5/6 widebody, but there are different ways of doing it that people have done.

As before, I am thinking of going a different route though.

Honestly not much, I think the 6 has improved in every single way other than putting on about 200 lbs, even though the 6 is still a pretty light car. 6 has better traction, better braking, better handling, stiffer chassis, stronger engine with 45 ft-lbs more tq, better interior, more safer. The 6 makes a 7-8-9 feel like a 747, and an evo x feel like the Hindenburg.

I think the benefit that I get from it is that I just love an evo 3 and this particular evo 3 has a ton of character. It is very raw to drive, mechanical front and rear LSD diffs, it is just fun. This car is also pretty rough, so I can drive it around, park it, have a dog and ice cream in the car and who cares; which is lacking in my 6. When 6 got here it was super more clean than I expected, but that comes at a cost of worrying. The other thing is that the 6 doesn't really need anything, and I like having a project on the go.

The 3 is raw.  Lighter than more agile.  The 6 probably feels like a 747.  And by that contrast, my STI probably feels like the Hindenburg.  So GR's are like the International Space Station.

I remember sitting inside the new wrx and thinking wow, this is basically a CUV.

No Jonny wrong German aircraft. The STi could be a Bf 109 if you put good tires on it.

The GR is more akin to the Space Shuttle.

Sometime this summer you should come for ride in one of these cars, the old CN9A/CP9A chassis made Jonny sad about his car and it can do the same for you!

I'll definitely take you up on this offer. I'll let you know when I'm up in YEG but it should be some time around June/July!

Forgot to post how tidy underneath is. And yes, the PO at one point removed the rear tow hook, because reasons.

Ordered some flares.. as there is no coming back from that in the rear arches. Ideally, I could just put the car back to stock, but whatever.  Super tidy stock ones are selling from 24-45k right now.

I was going to go the 5/6 route, but I like this better. I have a 6, so.. you know. This maintains the nature of the car in how I received it as well, just cleans it up.
