When does the captcha stop? Takes me 5 times every time I try and post anything, most times I give up.

Aren't intros "useful"? ??? I had posted seven times in my intro thread and I was wondering why my post count was still "0".  :-[

I'll be so glad when I no longer need to mess around with this CAPTCHA nonsense. It's often near impossible to make out what the letters are. I now listen to the letters... but I swear, there have been occasions when the letters read out loud do not match the actual letters on the screen at all. Seriously.

The captcha is frustratingly difficult, however the post count before it's removed is also crazy low.

Believe me, I'm at like 4000 posts and the captcha is killing me.  Sometimes, I don't mind it, but other times, I don't even...

Seriously, this CAPTCHA is a real turn-off for posting here. I understand the need to prevent SPAM, but there's gotta be a better way to screen out the bots after a registered member has proven their authenticity. If the CAPTCHA requirement actually does disappear after 5 posts or so... disregard my bitchin'.  ;)

It disappears after 5 counted posts.

Anything in the Intro, FS, or post orwhaying section doesn't count.

I'm aware of what was stated there. I'm also aware that it was posted 2 1/2 years ago. Sometimes rules/regulations/procedures change.

Anyway, this is my 5th non-intro post... and hopefully the last time I need to deal with CAPTCHA.  :haplo90:
