Anyone else playing this game? It's similar to PUBG (haven't played so not sure how similar) but it's available on console and the Battle Royal format is currently free to download.

I've been playing it on PS4 since it was first released. I'm not sure I like the Battle Royale mode as much as PUBG.

I got sort of tired of the Save The World mode because there are way too many collectibles and I got "too many choices" fatigue. Plus, having to grind to manufacture ammo was unpleasant, though they've gone a long way to fix that now.

Played it on PS4 a bit yesterday, some of the weapons feel very clunky to me. I hate how much your look speed is slowed down when ADS with certain weapons.

Might try it out, since I don't know if I can run PUBG that well! Canyourunit says I just meet minimum I think.

I also bought H1Z1 when it first came out, also down to play that. Might try out Fortnite since it's free anyways, no harm.

Have you played it on PC? How does the battle royale compare, PC to PC? PUBG isn't coming to console for a while, if at all, which is unfortunate.

Changing the controller sensitivity settings helped a lot with the slowed down ADS for me. It was set to something like .20 when I loaded it up which is crazy.

The free thing is what really got me. I like free.

Afraid not.

PUBG is definitely a more stressful experience for me, but I also get at least one story every time I play.

I'll have to look next time I'm on, it felt horrible haha. Couldn't even track slow movement when ADS with a sniper..

Any PC Fortnite players? New map updates went live yesterday. Dr Beans and I are always looking for more people to squad up with.

I'm gonna give this a go I think. Everyone and their cat is trying to get me to play PUBG, but I'm not quite on board with the whole "paying for an unfinished game that also somehow gets console releases" thing.

I agree. That and the fact that it seems like you need a very powerful computer to play it at competitive frame rates. Fortnite runs great on my older rig.

Won my first squad match last night. Feels good.

Died almost immediately the next 4 matches.

My username on PC is DaDuke99 if anyone wants to play. I'm not so great at it yet, but that should change soon enough... the building part takes a bit to get used to!

Coming to mobile soon and cross platform play is on the table. Except between Xbox and PS.

Yeah, some of my kids have invites and were talking about it.  Pretty interesting...

Very much so. I'm curious to see how it works with cross platform playing since the controls are so different between the 3 types (mobile, PC, console).
I've also heard PUBG is now testing mobile play
