Honestly the reduction of hours at work and the wife losing her job😂. I also really wanted to just drive it again and figured once im done with it in the RS, I can throw it in a Forester for the wife!

Totally get it!

Not much going on recently but was able to snag up a free carpet from a part out for free to replace my nasty, damaged grey one!

Being inspected by the boss

and after a little steam clean in the warm basement

Just going to wait until spring to throw it in! Car will be parked soon for the winter.

So not too much going on this year, thanks the chaos of the times, but earlier in the year I ended up removing the old torn and worn carpet. Installed the "new to me" carpet! While I was in there, gave the floor a good look for rust and wipe down.

Then I went and fixed up the old STI spoiler from my '96 WRX and painted it to install on the car(thanks work)!

Also I had previously been running a temporary set of "riceland" coils as I was waiting for my BC Racing BR coils to come it from back order. Finally got them in(thanks Leo!) and threw them in right away!!

And threw on my custom skid plate for the car!!

Here is how she sits right now!

I sure love me some GC's
The 3 is raw.  Lighter than more agile.  The 6 probably feels like a 747.  And by that contrast, my STI probably feels like the Hindenburg.  So GR's are like the International Space Station.

I'd suggest you buy my car off me but sounds like you don't have time for a project haha

Plus you already got gc8 Sti seats in here and a skid plate lol. Unfortunately my standalone can't run the h6 sequentially, but could probably chuck the turbo kit on that ol engine of yours and squeeze it till it dies lol. Is the exhaust port on the heads single or twinned?

Thanks for all the love guys! Definitely don't have too much free time for more projects with work and life in general unfortunately! But I was lucky enough to have a buddy who had a EJ20k sitting in his garage with unknown km's and condition. Got offered it for free so figured why not pick it up!

Brought it home and threw it on my engine stand and started the tear down!

Currently have it completely torn down, just need to take the case halfs apart but looks like it had a cylinder 3 bearing failure so nothing too surprising there! Taking my time to learn more on it and rebuild it up!
