pedal box is now bolted in,

Wiring going to the fuel cell, main pumps, lift pump, fuel lvl sending unit, spare plug, left and right tail lights. Also see the plug for oil temp.

Wiring up to the Cartek panel, Still need to build a mount for it. It will be higher and easier for me to see while strapped in.

end of the harness, waiting on the engine/ecu harness which is almost done.

Still lots to do but it's hard to get things done in a few hours once a week, every other week and driving 6 hours during that same day.

Haha no joke I came across people moding actual tilton pedal boxes to work with sim racing. Some of those guys are super dedicated to making it as real as possible. I am sure with every thing being electronic that someone would make it work for sim racing lol.

The last of the AIM sensors have finally come in, Steering angle sensor and another brake pressure sensor. Now the only only sensors I need to get are the speed sensors which will be fed into the ECU via a CANbus converter.

Other than Shock pots we should have things covered.

I came back from Lithuania on thursday, found out that Shan would allow me to borrow his car on Sunday for round 1 of the CSCS Time attack series.

The day was overcast all day and on the edge of raining most of the day. I had set a personal goal of a 1:38 which would have best my time by 5 seconds from last year. first laps out I did a 1:45, I was just warming up the tires and then watched a Hawkeye spin out in front of me and then hit the tire wall. as the day went on, I was able to improve every session out until I hit my best of 1:38.547. I was extremely happy, this beat all the street class cars last year and this year. We went to the final shootout and it rained, it made for some scary driving on R compounds. I had to turn the car down from sport sharp to sport, I was more sideways than I was straight. Pretty much every competitor lost 20secs in the rain.

I am now here in lovely Edmonton, looking for a new home.

He is one of the fastest TA cars in North America and had rain tires on. Crazy enough the fastest is a civic driven by Will from PZ tuning. Canadians crush the US series.

And does it have to be edmonton?  ;D I guess having Castrol right there and the badlands track not too far sounds really good.

Well let me put it into context, the "build" is 8 years in the making. SO these amazing parts were not all bought in 1 or 2 years. I also have great partners like Chris @tougetuning, Ryan @Vexperformance, Mark @Mooresport and Sasha @onpointdyno. While I have never received a product for free they have helped with either pricing or trouble shooting when things have gone to itshay.

I work for the military and my last posting in Kingston ON allowed me to do a lot of traveling for the last 3 years. I can honestly say most people in the forces do not get the amount of travel I have. I have been lucky to have the right qualification, right place, right time and nothing tying me back to be able to go on these taskings when asked.

And does it have to be edmonton?  ;D I guess having Castrol right there and the badlands track not too far sounds really good.

haha yes for my career to progress I need to return to the "mothership" and get a few checks in the box before I can keep climbing the ladder. Trust me I would have like to stay in Kingston as I had it pretty good there. Close to lots of tracks and able to get into the US for events.

I am back in Kingston now, I have secured a place to call home when we move to Edmonton. It has a nice double garage so I can hide the car in lol.

I was down at Touge today, Sasha had dropped off the ecu/engine harness while I was gone. I did a quick/rouge install since the motor that is sitting in the car is not going to stay in there.

I have been told the motor should arrive by friday.

On Friday Sasha and I worked on the car for a good few hours. We were finishing the patch harnesses that are going between things like the dash and dccd. Once we got as many was we could get done due to running out of connectors, we started doing system checks. Only 1 issue we found and we had a moment of did we uckfay up or is there something not working right. Link ECU's allow for the second canbus to be setup as a input which is not what we wanted but we totally forgot this. We updated the ecu/dash/logger lol everything and we kept getting nothing. But then it came to Sasha that we were on canbus 2 not 1, a few clicks and BAM! its all working and talking.

I have been working closely with Sasha from onpoint dyno to get a complete harness made for the car. It has been amazing working with him and blown away with the product he came back with. We spent a few hours doing systems checks and communication checks to make sure it all works. I am super happy with the level of professionalism he has displayed and knowledge he has passed on.

The box to weigh everything was 5lbs

Old oem harness (missing a few things) 63.5

New harness with evo4s data logger 15.5

58.5-10.5 =48lbs saved = awesome

thanks, sadly I wont see the car until its finished, depending on how long it takes them then I may fly back to do testing or I will have it shipped to Edmonton and deal with it there, although I am not sure if I care to test it at castrol. Id prefer a place with more room to test and setup things like brakes and aero.

It is so satisfying looking at the pictures of both wiring harnesses side by side like that.

We made it to Edmonton! Less than 24hrs into being here we drove through a super cell and were lucky to miss the hail by minutes. Also chipped the windshield lol Thank you AB sanding. We went through the US to see some things we haven't seen yet, I have driven across Canada 4 times already. We were given 7 days to do this and used every bit of it, including a stop in at the stampede on our way through Calgary.

Well this is going to take a lot longer than I was hoping but I also do not want to rush things. The motor is finally put together and installed into the car. So I decided to invest into a sim racing setup to hopefully gain some seat time and muscle memory with IRacing and PC2.
