Exedy OEM Replacement clutch differences
« on: October 30, 2017, 10:06:46 pm »
Hey guys, so I am looking at doing my clutch in the future and just checking out a few different options. I have decided to just stick to eom because I have no plans for big power or anything like that and would love to keep the streetability for city traffic.

So, I found two clutches on the SubieDepot website and they look a little different from one another with a decent price difference but there is no info on what the difference is or anything like that. they both have the same name and are both recommended oem replacements for my car.

Just wondering, what are the differences that someone with a little more knowledge than me can point out?

Both clutch kits can be found here:

The difference is the springs in the friction plate. The more expensive one is supposed to be better at absorbing shock and vibration.

I got the more expensive one when I did my clutch - KSB03. It seemed to be the most common choice, and I couldn't find anyone with direct personal experience between the two in the same car.
I may scream like a dainty lady, but I punch like a fairly strong 11-year-old.

thanks a bunch. I was leaning toward the more expensive option regardless just because a clutch isnt really something to cheap out on so an extra $60 wouldn't hurt but now that I know there is actually an advantage I will be going with the more expensive option for sure!
