Hey Guys,
O.k. so I chatted with Paul Craigen today (Service Manager), and he's definitely pro making sure you guys know we appreciate the community. This is what I know so far:
Parts - 15% discount on all Subaru parts and accessories
Service - 10% off on all non-menu items. (Things like repairs)
Menu Pricing - No Discount This is set by Subaru Canada.
A = $95
B = $440
C = $700
D = $1200
Descriptions for what each of these include can be found HERE
http://www.subarucanada.com/WebPage.aspx?WebSiteID=282&WebPageID=18541Because I know this will come up:
Question: Why is menu pricing different depending on the dealership I go to sometimes?
Answer: You don't have to take everything in the list for each service, and it will reduce the price if you do so. So some dealerships don't necessarily include everything, or they will include extras.
For Example, if you don't take the cabin air filter you get to save on that pricing. Or you could opt out of the Brake Service in B. Now I know that Warranty is the big question if you begin to not take certain things on the recommended maintenance but if you choose not to take something don't worry. We don't keep a black list and take away all of your warranty if you do this.
What we say is that we warranty it if it's a defect from Subaru. If an issue were caused by a modification or lack of maintenance on an item which causes the issue then it won't be covered. So using Brakes as the example, if you opt out of the clean and lube for your brakes and then come in 2 years later and they are seized then we will look and go was it a bad seal from Subaru or was it a lack of maintenance that caused the issue. If it was lack of maintenance then you are responsible, if it's a bad seal then we are responsible. I think it's pretty fair.
I hope this makes sense and for clarification ask me or Paul is always happy to chat with people regarding warranty and modification. He has over 30 years experience, worked with Domestics and with Nissan. So he understand the drive to lift and lower and tweak and perfect a vehicle and wants to make sure we can support that.
I'm working on a few other options for discounts as well, will let you know how it goes.
So HERE is the rub. You need to be able to prove that your a WSC member. Admins what do you figure the best way to do this is? Gotta have a sticker? Gotta have a lanyard? Is there a member list we can reference? Let me know and we can make sure this all happens!
If you ever have issues in service see if I'm around and I can come help mediate or at least get another ear on the situation. I'm not a tech or anything but I've got some pull.
Best Regards,
Drew~
