Boost gauge light is here.
Now to install....

oops, its minus FREAKIN 25 OUTSIDE!!
Stupid cold. At least gimme 3 feet of snow!!
If you need a workspace, I may know of a heated garage with a car that can be pulled out.

Cam i have been thinking of getting one of them blowtorch units, the big 30k btu ones that run on propane! just to do itshay in my unheated ice rink.

I have a 25-80k convection heater and used to have a forced air one.  The forced air one sucked, I found the convection heater to heat up the garage much faster.  We were working in t-shirts this past weekend when it was -25*C outside.

Never an excuse ;)

I once upon a time when I was 16 did a bumper install, 4 tires and overhead moniter in a 1991 civic...

At 2 AM.

In a wandwash.

Summers have been ordered.

Wheels: Enkei EV5, Bronze with machined lip. 5x100, 17x7 +45

Tires: Falken Ziex ZE-912.

True summer tires may be in my future with a set of nicer rims. But for now, I need summers that can overlap to winters as well.

I looked for wider. There were none to be had, that I liked.
It seems, for some reason, all the wheels I like only come in 7"

Based on reviews, and talking with a few people.
Plus, I wanted to try something new.

As for going A/S versus dedicated summers, I wanted something that was a little more versatile, where I didn't have to worry about exactly when it is going to snow.
Hopefully the tires will be able to handle a light snowfall during the "in between" seasons where we may or may not get snow.

Great choice of tires and rims. Looks good.

Also your car is amazing. I only wish I had the technological knowledge to even start modifying my car to this degree.

Thanks for the comments. I'm pretty happy with everything I've done.

There are no "technical" mods on the car at this point. Everything except the CBE is cosmetic. Nothing hard to do. Most of it is just clips and bolts.
And the CBE is 4 bolts (and I had help with them).

Just have to get your hands dirty. My car was stock, and my brain was empty (some may argue it still is... what were we talking about?)

hrm i never really considered the battery tie down and oil cap but i must admit they look very sexy. just takes out the plastic and takes any cheap looking parts away. i might have to do the same.

They do class up the joint.
As soon as I can get all the winter crap out of my engine bay, and get a good looking (and winter supporting) battery, should look a little better than stock plastic.

Looks good!

Are *you* happy with how close of a match it is to the OEM gauges?

I love it! Looks fantastic!

Actually, there WAS upholstery, when going through the firewall. I should mention that... ;)

Looks great Cam!  Hopefully it didn't take too long with your OCD.  :)

Truth be told, it actually DID take me quite a bit of time. But I think that's mostly because I had no idea what I was doing, not because of my OCD.
Get ready to laugh....

5 hours? Over an hour trying to get the tube through the firewall, an hour removing the stereo and all that junk, then routing the wiring harness behind the dash.
Now that I know what I'm doing, I could probably cut this down to 2 hrs...

The first try will always be a learning experience.  At least now you know what it takes and your writeup will definitely help others.  I bet a lot of swearing took place.  ;)

Some more rice put on today. I'll have to go and pick up some more soya sauce.

LED Footwell lighting. Its the same lighting as exists on the 08+ STI. It glows the footwell red when the headlights are on.
I tried to take pics, but failed. My camera can't seem to grab the light properly. So just imagine it.
Or, use your brain and replace all the blue in this pic, with red.

Summer is here.
Wheels showed up.
And they have shown me that I have the biggest wheel gap known to man.
Actually, its just because the car was lifted. But still....
I will take real pics when I clean it.
