Do you have a wife or girlfriend in the car?

Haha sorry, not much help... My thoughts would be spark too. I found my Justy spark plug wires weren't giving proper spark occasionally.  Can't be certain it was the culprit because other things were amiss as well but any hesitation was gone after swapping in new ones.
Would a rich mixture do this maybe? Idk enough about it to say...

If your car has plug wires instead of coilpacks, you can test the resistance with a multimeter.

NGK has an OK writeup about it: https://www.ngk.de/en/technology-in-detail/ignition-cables/diagnosis/testing-of-ignition-cables/

The service manual should tell you the exact spec you are aiming for.

For instance, an 09 Forester reads:
#1 cord: 7.1 — 12.1 k?
#2 cord: 12.1 — 19.9 k?
#3 cord: 7.7 — 13.0 k?
#4 cord: 12.3 — 20.2 k?

but your own car may have a different spec.

That said, if you're testing spark plug wires you might as well just buy new ones and throw the old ones away (and replace the plugs too). It's not that much money.

I'm sure there's a way to test coilpacks too, but I don't know what it is.

Anyone has a part number for JDM SF5?
Would Impreza fit?
