As a graduate/member of the workforce now, I tend to be reading more and more into F1 during my breaks at work and during and spare time. After my experiences last season, I feel like I really have become a bigger fan of F1. I am excited to see what happens with the cars this year. Halos are bleh, but for safety reasons I get why they're there.

Only 70 more days 'till the Australian GP 8)

Oh, and here's a cool photo I grabbed from Spa last season. Don't think i've shared it as of yet.

Haha, thank you! Hopefully a few more to come this year! Thinking of making my way to at least one GP if possible...

Looking forward to this year as well.

I'm sure the halo will grow on me but I'll miss the shark fins for sure.

I am looking forward to seeing the cars without shark fins myself.  Really don't like the Halo.
I'm not sure where this guy got these images, but it got me excited for the season!  He threw in some cars that won't exist as far as I understand as well.  The Force India Livery idea was great!

I think that guy just rendered those himself.  I agree, really like what he did with Force India.  I liked Red Bull too, and Lotus was classic.

Yeah, he did. I've seen them come up on reddit a few times. I like all of them honestly. The Force India probably looks the coolest, and the RedBull also looks real nice. I'd be happy with any of those showing up!

Yeah, just came up with them himself. They look cool, but they're just some ideas from a guy who can draw.

And how much does he even know about F1? He put Porsche sponsorship on the Red Bull car...

In other news, what's involved as a Development Driver?  Ferrari having any involvement with Kvyat sounds crazy to me.

Playing Forza all day. Truthfully, they use the time to drive the simulator. Any on track testing also benefits the team in data gathering. Ferrari has oodles
of money and they're not paying him anything like RB would be paying him when he had a seat. If I was Ferrari and had a decently quick several year veteran
to do dev duties, I'd choose him over someone like Pascal Wehrlein (comparable in age but not speed)

I see, I see.  Makes sense.  He is pretty quick when there's no one to crash into.

And Kubica was rumoured to be the reserve?

I have to say, I really enjoy the Grill the Grid segments, and I think it's great they're releasing the Team Boss Grills during this off time.

This should be interesting. I wonder if he'll get some seat time for any of the GP's (of course outside of the russian getting injured, sick, or similar).

I dig them too. It's nice to have some content in the off-season outside of GP re-runs or highlights.

In other news, it looks like the Mexican GP is a good possibility for me. Currently in the midst of planning with a couple of family members of mine, and direct flights from van just went down to ~$600 return.

Yeah, we'll see. I kind of feel like his boat has sailed. He's old (relative), been away from a long time, and probably isn't going to land a race seat. He was decent in the tests, didn't blow anyone away though. I get where Williams is coming from, why take the chance when you can take someone 12 years younger, probably as fast, hasn't been out of single-seaters for 7 years, and who is bringing sponsorship dollars. Kubica just doesn't pay off for them or make sense other than the feel-good aspect.

Nice, that looks like an awesome GP to attend. I'd love to get out to some more, but it's all about finding some time. Suzuka and Indianapolis were amazing when I went.

Yeah, I absolutely agree with that. It does make sense.
It's a shame that a lot of the situation has been overshadowed by Russian money though. Sure, that had an aspect in landing him the seat, but he's not just some random kid they pulled off the streets. He has talent, and it'll be interesting to see how he places in relation to Stroll.

Totally, he's got enough talent to get him there too, plus the money.

People need to let him race first and see how he does before shouting "pay driver". Bottas brings sponsorship (Wihuri), but isn't labeled a pay driver, Massa brought huge sponsorship as well (Petrobras), and was still not labeled a pay driver.

Stolen from Reddit: Force India to reveal new name, logo, and car on Feb 25.

https://twitter.com/tgruener/status/955755060608323585

A reply to that tweet leads to a page stating that the team will now be called Force Formula One Team.

Looks like a normal size. You mean the rear wing?
