Looks like a TV right at 12o'clock, but, not that big from where you were sitting.  That is an amazing picture!

Seems like an awesome seat, I was actually wondering this during the race but is there any large tvs to watch the rest of the race? I know my bro was at montreal and said it was good they had it because it made certain parts very boring.

Also did you get down closer after the race? I believe that's where they did the trophy presentation and Armin van buuren show too.

Yeah, there was a large screen right above the podium which I found pretty easy to follow. You obviously can't make out tiny letters, but you can certainly follow the race on it. There is also a smaller screen on the left side of the lounge/primo seating area (if that's what you call it) that runs along both sides of the podium. It's just behind the cars parked in the P1, P2, P3, and WC spots on the left side of the track there. Next to that, there is also a large vertical screen that very clearly indicates driver and position; those were lifesavers when trying to follow who was in what position.

There are a lot of hidden gems to be found in that photo if you look closely. It's a super wide shot, so everything looks smaller and further away than it really was, but overall it was still a very good spot to watch the race from.

I did in fact get on the track after the race. They had the Armin show right on the podium after, and that was fun too. I didn't stay too long as we wanted to still head into the centre of the city afterwards, but they gave full access to the track to anyone with a ticket.

That is an amazing picture!

Thank you! I love wide angle stadium shots!

Max Verstappen says he "could have done some damage to someone" after losing out to teammate Daniel Ricciardo in their battle for pole position in the Mexican Grand Prix.

What a little uckfaying baby. I'm starting to like him even less than I like Hamilton. He needs to seriously ditch Jos and change his whiny entitled attitude. As the father of an F1 driver who himself was a driver, he needs to take a page out of someones book who's done it successfully: Keke Rosberg. Class act stood back and let Nico do his thing without meddling. Even Hamilton got better when he ditched daddy as his manager.

As much as I want to see Honda do well, I don't want Verstap to be riding that success.  He's a great driver and has improved tenfold this season, even if he won't admit to changing his driving style, but his entitlement and arrogance are too much.

I definitely agree that his driving has improved greatly, far less aggressive, and finding that right balance. But man, I still don't like him. Didn't he state after the USGP that he wanted to win Mexico, specifically because he didn't want Hamilton to win the race that clinched the season for him? Also +1 on seeing Honda succeed.

Hilariously, my wife doesn't think that many of the F1 drivers are very attractive. She thinks Ricciardo's a looker, but Verstappen has an ugly face.

So about the race today,

1. I have no clue what Ocon was thinking.
2. Why do lapped cars have access to DRS.

That said, Ocon was well within the rules in what he did, he had the line and Max cut him off.
I have no idea why he got a penalty.

Max acting like a child after was to be totally expected.

It looked to me like Max was more than half a car length ahead as they entered the corner (Ocon wasn't beside him until Max was slowed down for the corner), so he should have the racing line and it's up to Ocon to avoid being pinched. From Max's onboard, it looked like he thought he was fully passed Ocon so he turned in normally and Ocon just hadn't tucked in behind him.

That said, yeah totally childish reaction to it. It's not like that's the first time a driver has had that kind of reaction to an incident like that, though. I still don't really know how to feel about Max. Super talented, but still has a lot of growing up to do. I have no doubt he will be a champion one day if he can learn to keep a cooler head and if he ends up in a decent car.

I still don't really know how to feel about Max.

He's an entitled untcay who needs to learn some discipline and respect.

As much as I hate to say it, Lewis is %100 right: if you're in first, you have everything to lose.

Guy is trying to un-lap himself and is on a different race strategy, he had nothing to lose, just let him go. Ocon was no threat to take anything from Max, and he was faster, so he wasn't even going to hold him up. And if he did, BOOM, blue flags because Max is the leader. On the flip side of that, Ocon needed to be a bit more patient with his overtake.

Ocon made the wrong move, but Max threw away the win.

So about the race today,

1. I have no clue what Ocon was thinking.
2. Why do lapped cars have access to DRS.

1. There's still a fight for constructors championship places below 3rd. Force India stands to gain a lot of money if they move up, and consequently lose money if they fall back another position. Poorly timed move on his part, but it could have an impact at the end of the season.

2. Why wouldn't they? It's still a race, anything can happen, cars are always free to un-lap themselves. He got a penalty for causing an avoidable collision.

Max IS a child. He needs to get Jos' tit out of his mouth and start thinking for himself.

1000% what Rathburn said.

Racing line entitlement is misnomer, I think. Max was "entitled" to that line but at the same time if he doesn't heed his surroundings, he threw away his own race by turning in.

I just watched Ocon's onboard from the 2 laps leading up to that incident and it changed my perspective a bit. I hadn't realized they were so close in the moments leading up to that corner. I now think it should have been a racing incident. Equal stupidity from both drivers, but I agree with Rathburn's statement that Max had a lot more to lose, so it's up to him to get out of the way. The same thing was seen earlier in the race on multiple occasions where other cars got out of Max's way because of his reputation and because they were fighting for the WCC and Max wasn't.

I really appreciated what Hamilton was saying in the winner's room.  When he's in the right frame of mind (when he wins), he has some good rational wisdom.
