You should junkyard-convert to 5-bolt and then just harvest the whirlwind of 5x114.3 wheels. For instance, Ford F150 steelies with General Grabbers on them.

I'm already doing a junkyard rear end conversion, and it's requiring more welding than I want. Adding extra's to the project is low on the list

8.5" width tho :(

What's the max width you can run? And the biggest tire size? You try looking at 4 bolt Focus rims?

Focus rims are the wrong offset for RWD fords.

Holy itshay this thing is terrifying to drive.

Doing the 5 car shuffle so I can put summer tires on me and Emma's subaru. Took the deathstang out to get beers. Talk about adrenaline.

In other news I don't know itshay about tires and rubber. Someone help me plz.
I think my current rims are 8.5 wide. And 225 rubber not 255 like I always think.
Probably 8.5 or 9" rims would be fine. Would focus rims work? I can't figure it out cuz I'm dumb

Focus rims have the wrong offset.

FWD ("high") offset is like this, to make room for all the itshay they had to push to the outside of the car in order to A. be cheap and B. allow for a drive axle that also turns (whaaaat?) They are often like +55 (Honda) or even more (Acura).

RWD ("low") offset is like this, to make it look uckfayin' sweet and probably also to widen the track width of the car so you don't end up in a hedge you goddamn leaf-molesting pervert. These are like +25.

Zero offset is in like the centre of the wheel. Can you go negative offset? Yes, if you are awesome.

Note that this is not always the case (for instance the Miata runs FWD-offset wheels), but it is generally the case.

"Backspacing" is American for offset, but you measure from the back of the wheel.

Really good lesson. Ty.

So mustang wheels are +15mm offset where as focus is like +50mm?

Yeah. If you can believe it, I once got an offer of a scholarship to study classical drawing at a university in the US.

Still not sure what happened.

302 with hydraulic roller lifters, measured out my desired pushrod length, and 6.245 wont even hit zero lash while 6.300 is too long and gets almost a full turn to 20ftlbs.
With the comp cams checker tool, I get 6.275" as the perfect setpoint, getting almost exactly 5/16ths of a turn on each to 20ftlbs.
However shops dont have em. should I custom order or is it not worth it???

Another great vehicle I regret selling.

RIP new owner.  :'(

At least I have more funds to focus on the rape van and I won't have to take a trailer queen with me to my poverty stricken, petchuli reeking new hippie life in bc.

I learned a lot owning this car, enjoyed it to little, and in the end life happened too fast.

I think it was Voltaire who said: “A man who gives up uckfaying sweet burnouts for an old ambulance that someone died in deserves neither.”

Not one of his more popular quotes, but he has a street named after him and I don’t.

Shame to see it leaving, but hopefully the new owner will take care of it.

The cover of that video is one of the favourite pictures I've taken. Thanks for the memory and farewell so scare.

If by take care of it, I hope you mean thrash it to death. That's the way it would want to go.
