Intercooler y-pipe replacement
« on: March 22, 2018, 07:47:32 am »
Hey guys,

I'm pretty sure I have a boost leak as my car only boosts to 0.6 bar and I get a weird whistling noise when it's fairly cold. I've made sure all the clamps are tight and I don't see any cracks in the couplers in sight. Im fairly certain the leak is in the Y-pipe but, I don't really want to take the intercooler off to check as it's a PITA to get back on so, I'm just going to replace the y-pipe and all the couplers.

I've found some intercooler hose kits on RSD but, obviously, none of them are made for the GCs. Will a hose kit for a ej207 fit on an EJ20K or will I have to find a kit specifically for the EJ20K?

Thanks for any answers!

Not sure what the y-pipe looks like on your car, but don't forget new gaskets.
