Hello from Calgary
« on: March 23, 2018, 03:21:02 pm »
Hi All,

I've had my 2017 Forester 2.5i Convenience (Venetian Red) for a few months now and am loving it. I've felt unstoppable on the roads and out to the mountains since I put on my studded Pirellis. Maybe a bit overkill for the often dry roads in Calgary but whatever.

Been reading lots of posts and might do some mods in the future, first step is adding a hitch for bike season. Anyone here notice too much sag with weight on a hitch? ie should I look into "saggy butt" spacers?

Welcome!! We have meets on Tuesday evenings @ 7:30, at the McKnight Blvd Timmies/ Wendy's! :)

I got no feedback on a hitch, but you should definitely do some cool mods! :D

If you are worried about too much weight in the rear you could always do a roof rack set up depending on how many bikes you are planning on carrying. That way the weight will be more or less evenly distributed throughout the car.

Welcome!

Unless your bikes are made of solid gold, I don't think they along with the hitch will be enough to give you a Costco drop.
