It's the Vinyl Countdown

The Home Automation thread is now basically a 1:1 ratio of places to find vinyl and actual home automation discussion, so I'll try and tease some of you over here because this is something that could be of interest.

My favourite spots in Edmonton:

Find Edmonton (5120 122 St NW): Mostly unsorted stock, but almost everything (including collections) is $1
Wee Book Inn (10310 82 Ave NW): Again mostly unsorted, but things are priced accordingly. $5 for Zamfir in case you haven't found one for free yet, and $20+ for the ones you're actually looking for
Old Strathcona Antique Mall (10323 78 Ave): Excellent and organized collection, but you'll pay $$$ for some of it.

Place in Calgary I've been watching: https://www.facebook.com/MelodiyaRecords/

They also sell used players and bookshelf speakers, etc. All seem pretty nice quality/ brands (Kenwood, Nuance, are some recent I've seen posted there.) Downtown 17th Ave East side.

From 2015...

Recordland is the biggest one I've been to in Calgary (https://www.facebook.com/RecordlandCanada/). I think this was referred to in the other thread. edit: see quote below from Zaider. The back room is anxiety inducing if you're claustrophobic or OCD.
Sloth Records is the other I've been to a few times (https://slothrecords.wordpress.com/). It's above Clive Burger which is a bonus if you're hungry.

there's that shop in Inglewood, where if you have the patience to look through their back room, you can find some awesome stuff.

Those places look awesome damn! Need to check them out.

Apparently there's a music collectors show this Sunday May 6: https://www.facebook.com/RecordlandCanada/photos/a.528880563864798.1073741826.528857573867097/1723403014412541/?type=3&theater

London Drugs has lots of typical releases and old reprints.
Blackbyrd satisfies over many genres

Neither are spectacularly priced.

That all said, if anyone's got an extra copy of Kosheen's Slip Slide Suicide 12", the one with the Breaks mix on it, I'm interested in it ;D
