Roof rail delete on SG Forester
« on: June 14, 2018, 09:39:17 pm »
Has anyone seen or tried to delete the roof rails off of a SG Forester? The paint on my rail feet are super faded and need ato be repainted, but I thought maybe deleting them might be easier/cleaner. The rails will never be used by me anyways

I imagine it would be the same as deleting them on a GD WRX wagon?

If so, you have to pull the headliner to get to the nuts/bolts holding the rails on and then you will need to fill the holes and get that rain gutter trim piece.

It's a decent amount of tedious work but I think it really cleans up the car.
