Valve cover gasket questions
« on: March 11, 2019, 05:29:01 pm »
Hey everyone
Well, for the last while I have noticed the Hawkeyes valve cover gaskets seeping a touch of oil, and after that -30 stretch, and the wifey still driving the car, it has progressively gotten worse, so it’s time to do the seals. My question is this, does anyone have a list of part numbers or just a list of what all I will need to do this? Also, is there anything else aside from spark plugs that I should do while I’m having to rip it all apart?

The valve cover gasket, and the two half moons (for each side). You could check the valve lash while you are there.

It's also recommended to use gasket maker anywhere that bends on the gasket
