Hey all
« on: July 04, 2018, 10:04:38 pm »
Good day everyone, i e been a member for a long time but havent been on here for a long time. Currently looking for a replacement turbo for my 2010 Subaru WRX due to mine crapping out. Well i think its hooped. It makes a loud rattling sound inside turbo when car is running and turbo hums when give it gas and rattles louder. Huge power loss. Believe i need to change or rebuild the turbo after having a journeyman look over my car with me. Can anyone point in the right direction on where too look for someone selling a stock one after hpgradi g there turbo or where to get a replacement or rebuild kjt?? Any help greatly appreciated. I appolagize if this is the wrong place for this post.
Thanks

I'd say NASIOC would be the quickest and cheapest way to find a stock turbo. The 265hp guys often upgraded their turbo's as it could easily get them into STi power. I remember watching so I could score a stock 265hp turbo as it was a good fit on Legacy GT's. I recall it's typical for one of the flanges to be cracked, so something to keep an eye out for.
