You're right. I finally bought wheels that I have wanted for some time, I should just nut up and do the color I want as well.

Thanks for the little push boys!

Went and picked up the wheels today and I am hyped!

The lips are all scratched up but it is just the paint, structurally the wheels are perfect and I am hopefully dropping them off for powder coating this weekend.

Here are some terrible photos I took quickly with my iPhone 6. Gave them a very quick wipe down but they are still filthy.

We completed a wheelset in Illusion Rose Gold a few  months ago.  Pretty nice color but I find it more on the orangey side of pink.  I will warn you that the swatches do lie slightly with illusion series powders.  They will tend to come out darker in color than what the swatches show.

If I do decide to go with a bronze or copper it'll be a nice glossy color with some depth, not like the matte bronze that Volk uses on their wheels. I am not a huge fan of matte or satin wheels.

Agree a gloss finish would look great.

That being said, if I had a set of bronze TE37s, I could look past the matte finish. haha.

If I ever get around to finishing up my RX-7 I will change my TE37s from white to bronze. :)

Took the car on its first road trip to Banff over the long weekend and am very happy with how the car performed.

Didn't burn any oil and I managed to get 630km to a single tank on the highway which is more than I have been able to get on any of my other Subaru/turbo cars before.

Also, stopped at Lightspeed to pick up my Whiteline rear control arms. My office is starting to get pretty full of parts for the Legacy come summer.

Looks like an orange that sat in the sun too long, and is all worn out. Rose gold FTW.

Noticed my speakers starting to make some terrible noises so I took advantage of black Friday and picked up a set of JL C1 650 speakers for the front doors (rear speakers seemed to be okay still).

The second I pulled the bottom of the door car away from the door half of the factory speaker fell out, they were torn to shreds haha.

Anyways, it was a pretty straight forward process installing the new speakers but finding a place to mount the crossover was a bit of pain.

Overall the speakers are a definite upgrade over stock but they are nothing crazy. I am happy with the result, especially for $120 speakers ($180 before sale).

Wish I would have taken pictures of the mess the old speakers left on the floor but here is one I snapped of the old and new side by side.

My next step I think will be to pick up one of those sub/amp combination units. I don't need crazy bass but just a single 10 to add a little bump.

Haha I've tasted their doughnuts and wow, delicious!

Next time I am in Calgary I will make sure to bring a case of cupcakes/doughnuts for ya.

On another note, this is going to hurt some feeling but I don't care cause it's my car and I will do what I like with it.

I made the mistake of trying to pick a color for my wheels that will please other people when I should just do what I want since it is my car. With that being said, I am going back to my original plan of doing them pink. Not a lot of people will like this but I do and in the end that is all that matters. Plus, as you have seen with my other cars, I like them to stand out from every other Subaru out there with gold or bronze wheels (no hate on them though, they look great, just overdone in my opinion).

I will pay you money for doughnuts/cupcakes.

And I'm still on board with pink.

Haha I can most likely grab you a box to bring! Or, ya know, you could support my girls business and buy a box ;)

And the pink I will be using is RAL 4003, it is sort of a pastel pink but I am going to add Baby Rockstar Sparkle to the clear coat to give it a nice shimmer in certain light.

Dropped the wheels off at The Wheel Clinic yesterday. They are going to do one test wheel first to see how the powder reacts when the sparkle is added. If I like the outcome we will go ahead and spray all 4 and if it's not what I am looking for then it will be back to the drawing board.

Really hoping it comes out as planned as I am very tired of staring at swatches and trying to decide on a color.

I never noticed because of how bad the front speakers were but the rears were completely blown as well.

Went and picked up a set of Kenwood KFC X174 speakers and these are some serious speakers for how cheap they were. Regular price was $190 but I got them for $150 and they are 10x better than the JL's I bought for the front. Kind of want to sell my JL's and get another set of these up front.

This is how bad the rear speakers were:

I got my wheels back from Wheel Clinic today and they came out uckfaying perfect! I am so happy that I stuck with my gut and went with the pink cause this is the exact color and finish I was envisioning.

The color is really cool. In low light is just looks like a nice pastel pink but when it gets out in the sun the pink really brightens up and the sparkle looks incredible.

And ya ya ya I know, why would you run a 9.5" wide wheel with a 215 stretched on. Because I am a stance boy and this is a very aggressive wheel for the GTB. Plus I dig how it looks  >:D

Anyways, on to the photos and a crappy video to try to show the sparkle. I don't know why the quality went to itshay.

I have to admit, I am surprised by the positive feedback haha. Thanks boys!

Yea, I’ll definitely be running black lugs with this set up. I have black Work valve stems too so it’ll all vibe well.

Haha I will always be a stance boiii at heart. I think this car is going to be the lowest I have ever gone with a car and with these wheels I will probably have to run somewhere around -6 degrees of camber.

The Miata is not going to be a stancy build though, I am keeping that car tasteful and fully functional.
