I consider the RPF-1 a 6 spoke. I just pretend the dual spokes are just fatter single spokes.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

The more I think about it the more I like the RPF-1.  I can go to a square 15" setup and have tonnes of options for tires. At 15" they are super light as well.

Sport Elise wheels weigh in at 31 lbs in the rear and 26 lbs in the front. (57 lbs total)
RPF-1's weigh in at 11.3 lbs each. (45.2 Lbs total)

They are one of the few wheels that look good on almost anything.

Old man Chapman would approve.

Leaning towards a Bronze colour,  but since that isn't an option, I'll likely get gold and have them candied to a bronze.

RPF1's are a good choice, and the lightest option in 15" or 16" sizing. I just priced out a set of RPF1's and a set of TE37's in 15" for a customer who wanted the lightest wheels possible for his civic and the RPF1's were something like 3lbs lighter than the TE37's and 1/2 the cost.

If you want me to look into pricing for you Jackal, let me know and I'll see if I can hook you up.

For that extra bit of detail, get the Enkei decals in the same color as the car.

wow I just googled the decals and a yellow/highlighter yellow decal on a black RPF1 is HOT HOT HOT  mmmm

Sure.  I'm leaning to a 15' setup,  but still may consider a staggered 15"/16" combo.

Can you order them and not have them applied until I have the wheels painted the final colour?  Honestly... I don't know what decals you mean.

I got to the garage today for a few little fiddly things.

First up was finessing a key that even though it was cut by a locksmith, it needed some more work to not be so hard on the cylinder. The key is a replacement for the the separate key/fob deal that's a bit much to carry around. The key integrates the alarm and immobilizer in the key.  It's way too damn much to pay for a key,  but worth it for one.

Next up was replacing the headlights. The low beam on the passenger side was burned. I haven't yet decided if I'm going to HID's,  so for the time a pair of Hella Optilux Extreme White lights. While I had the car up and the fender liners out, I figured I'd upgrade the driving lights to LED as well. Left neew... Right replaced.

Last up today was replacing the 12v outlet in the car.  A big complaint is how these outlets are too wide for most 12v accessories and rattle out during driving. I picked up a new USB socket from amazon and installed it.  The advantages to this outlet are that it includes an on/off switch (stock socket is always on),  and a voltage measurement display.

The decals come with the wheels, but are separate, so you apply them yourself.. Mine were bright yellow for the SBC wheels, but it appears that they might now all be. These are what they look like:

Also, I really like that socket you picked up. Mind linking it?

What LDS said, you can apply the decal after. They should come shipped loose. Also, don't go HID's, ballasts add weight. And defeat the purpose of Lotus. hehehe

Thanks! I'm going to add to my wishlist. I'd love to add one to the mini one day, and I would also consider putting one into the S2k as well.

They are all water resistant, which is why I liked them more than other ones I saw.

Do you want 15" just for the weight?  Aesthetically speaking, I think 16" RPF1's look quite nice:

I couldn't find any 15" RPF1 pics, but according to the thread that pic came from, you'll need to run spacers for 15"(?)

https://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f91/enkei-rpf1-teaser-shots-41980/#post727340

Here's a 15/16 combo:

Looks good, and I like that wing ^

Anyway, I'm sure you've already seen all these threads and pics.

I took Brynn out for a quick run to Cochrane to stretch her legs.  I am a bit worried about how loud she is for the upcoming autocross season. I took a video,  but with some distortion in sound from my old Contour camera you can't really get a feel for how loud it actually is. None of my cars have ever been this loud.

For all those watching,  I was merging onto a highway in a 110km zone and wasn't burying the pedal unsafely.

I'd go LED, but not HID.

I don't think LED would fit.  The bulb backs are usually too big.

35w HID was worth it.  The headlights are so bad it's dangerous

It might just sound loud as uckfay on the inside since you're basically piloting a plastic jug with the engine behind your head.

I'm genuinely impressed by your shirt choice. Can you upload a photo of your shirt rack?
