not weathertech nice floor mats
« on: November 26, 2018, 02:23:00 pm »
I got these super sweet winter floor mats for my car from i think canadian tire a while ago... theyre a rubbermaid brand and are awesome. super deep, design makes sense, not super hard or super floppy, stay in place.
But I went to go get some for my lady friend's car and the only thing there is a shallow floppy piece of crap.

Anyone have success with finding a floor mat that doesnt suck and isnt overpriced?

That's a WTB, noob.

I'm thinking you may want to specify vehicle?
I used Husky liners on the Impretzl but they're still ~70% the price of weathertechs

You can get some pretty decent Michelin ones for a reasonable price, with some looking. Used to have em back in the day, would recommend.

Something like this, I don't remember exactly how they looked, but they worked well. Probably got them at either Canadian Tire or Costco.

Is a "what fuel pump is best" thread a WTB thread?
I guess if wtb stands for what to buy we could do away with most of the technical issue threads.

Fite me.

Haha yeah it's an empretzly 2.5rs hatch (05). I remember Costco used to carry some quality universals back in the day.... Can't seem to find anything good on the shelf at crappy tire tho...

The OEM rubber mats are ok, and looks like they retail around $50USD... your footwell will still get a little salty but they contain most of it. In my 07 the driver's mat cracked after a few years though, and then it was useless. Kijiji is often a waste of time, but I got a set of WeatherTechs for $30 or $40 on there a few years ago so it may be worth a shot.

This doesn't help you (sorry) because they don't fit an 05 Impreza, but in case anyone else is reading, Findway mats are pretty sweet. $100 for custom fit all weather floor liners, and I like the look and feel of them better than the rubbery WeatherTech/Husky/Rubbermaid alternatives.

I have an extra set of the heavier rubber OEM ones (i think they're oem at least) from the forester you can try out if you want?
