Quote
The 2019 F1 season brings the dawn of a new marriage as Red Bull pair up with works engine supplier Honda in a bid to return to championship-winning ways. And on Wednesday, they gave us the first glimpse of the challenger – in a dramatic camouflage-style livery instead of the team's familiar racing colours – they hope can take the fight to Mercedes and Ferrari.

Red Bull have made a habit of launching their car in a special edition livery in recent years, before returning to their usual colours when the track action gets back underway, and that is set to be the case again this year.

So it's not confirmed to be a special edition, but it's not the traditional colours, and it's hinted that it might be a special edition.

I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

The details on the barge board area is uckfaying out of control this year.

This is also the best looking RBR car to date, next to the black and white camo testing livery.

When I saw the Racing Point, my first thought was that I hope no wildlife attempts to cross the track this year, because it is going to be sliced into a thousand pieces.

I don't even have my window maximized and they fit in it without scrolling. Don't they have normal sized screens down in Cali?

McLaren still trying to get that size zero rear end working I see. Their aero actually looks a lot simpler than the other cars - really clean look. Hopefully that's fast.

Cut him some slack, he's old as balls. Also he's Australian, so the monitor he's using is probably stolen anyways.

True, sometimes I am hard on freeloading Australians, but coming from a penal colony must be hard on the bloke.

I think you misunderstood, he came from a enispay colony. And yes, it's definitely a hard-on for blokes that he's got.

Finally Maranello, finally. No more silver/white/garbage accents on a car. That's why the 6/41 looked so good. All she needs now are gold wheels.

Apparently it caused a bunch of issues in Formula E a while back, as that point was the determining factor in the championship, to the point where the two leaders who were fighting both ended up retiring in that race.

That being said, I don't know how much difference it'll make, unless we can see regular mid-field teams setting fastest laps. If it's just another point for Mercedes/Ferrari/Red bull, that's kind of boring.

Agreed. I hope it doesn't come to that. Otherwise, they should change the rule so that if you got the fastest lap, but got a podium finish, you don't get the fastest lap point haha.

Anyone else catch the new Netflix series? I know 'Tuna and jelly are into it already. Sat down on Saturday night to watch a few and ended up halfway through, finished it up yesterday.

Great primer for the season next week. Nice little background and refresher on what happened last season. Really makes you feel for a couple of the drivers, and despise a few of them even more.

It's on my list, just haven't found time to sit down and watch.
Also, when is the Ricciardo Renault swag going to go up for sale.

Waiting for the Kimi/Alfa swag myself.

And yeah, watched the series over the weekend. Pretty awesome insight - it made me realize how many drivers are fighting for their careers on a regular basis. For 2019:
-If Grosjean starts crashing again, I don't think he'll stay in for the full season. Guenther made a risky decision keeping him around. I think Grosjean can be very fast, but he gets into a bad headspace really easily.
-If Ricciardo consistently outperforms Hulk, it'll be Hulk's last year.
-At Williams, it's the team fighting for its life as opposed to the drivers. Claire needs to either step aside, or replace Paddy Lowe as the starting point of a major team rebuild.
-Curious to see what happens at Ferrari. If Leclerc outperforms Vettel, I think Vettel will retire - especially if Leclerc wins the championship. If Vettel outperforms Leclerc by some margin... not sure what Leclerc's future holds. But I honestly expect Leclerc to beat Vettel this year.
