Welcome to the next level of the cult lol. Now go buy yourself another watch to celebrate this achievement.

RIP this thread.

After two degrees and countless years working undesirable jobs, I finally got my P.Eng today.  It’s been a long haul, nice to finally be done.

Congrats, now prepare to spend the next countless years being told you're worthless and know nothing by all the field guys and techs with experience.

Yes, welcome to another club cult. My gift to self when I made this same achievement was in fact a watch...

I’ve spent years working in the field, they already know I’m worthless.

Congrats. I have heard it's much more work to get the license these days.

Keeps them from playing with their dicks at work.

~23 pages of written response and 7 months for me.  It has taken my coworkers somewhere between 6-18 months.

Yeah, I worked at 3 different places, I had a similar size of submission and it took like 4 months to review I think. I was originally licensed in Ontario and I had understood them to be much faster in submission review. The EIT process was useless when I got my license 12 years ago, just another reason to give them $50 a year.

I have a low opinion of self regulating professions, even though I am a member of one.

Have you been working in consulting, for an owner or government?

I’ve spent my entire career at E&Ps, but only one employer since graduation which might have sped things up a bit.

Still though, it could be worse, and at least it's improving.
