The article seems to point towards it being a remote car starter?
2008 Aprilia Shiver 750 - Sold 10/02/2017
2013 SWP Subaru WRX Hatchback - Sold 01/04/2022

It's reached the greater internet outside of Canada now, so you should have an explanation and solution within a week.

Nobody has figured out what the Ranchlands Hum is.

The CBC article probably means "transmit mode." I bet they have a security guard or a whacker nearby who has a cheapo reflashed Baofeng radio.

Aren't some garage door openers also 315MHz? Maybe one got stuck on?

Lol I apparently didn't read the article too well.  Well a car starter stuck on transmit mode could explain the somewhat intermittant occurance for us, the old people who moved in two houses ago though have fairly newer cars, they don't appear to be the type to install stuff on their own. But maybe if I can catch them I will ask if they have any electronics in the garage etc. Like I said I know in the summer they had an audio visual company there installing stuff for a few days.

There is probably some local group of ham nerds who will happily come out and try all their expensive gear to figure out who is the spectrum bandit.
