Wondering why our cars are not on recall for this?

Isn't easier for them to prevent engine failures then fixing complete engines.

Are Canadians "protected" SOA or we are SOC ( Subaru of Canada).

Do I need to sit and wait for my engine to blow, to sue them.
Or get this bearings changed and send them the bill.

Well that's alarming.

It does seem odd that they arent doing some sort of service recall or something. I'm going to consult with my mechanic and the dealer and see if there is anything that we can do to kick this in the butt before something happens.

Does your VIN fall in the range? I haven't checked mine yet.

I didn't double check.
I did check if there is any recalls, but there is none.

Tearing down an entire short block just to do rod bearings would be a waste if time and money. From what I have seen, the bearing fails from poor engine design, oil starvation and general abuse.

If you want to save your short block look into a pick up tube, windage tray, quality AOS, cylinder 4 cooling mod.

I don't think that's relevant to the class action that involves an admitted defect that only applies to select vehicles.
