Ah that makes sense, cause I was looking through the rules for rotors and the SP rules said no to 2-piece rotors.

I dunno what rules *you* were looking through...  But I happened to have the 2009 SCCA rules open and found the following for SP:

15.6 BRAKES
...
D. Alternate brake rotors are permitted, subject to the following
restrictions:
1. Rotors must be ferrous metal except for standard parts. Aluminum
rotor hats are allowed.
Rotor dimensions (diameter
and thickness) must be equal to or greater than standard
parts. Cars originally equipped with solid (non-vented) rotors
may utilize vented rotors.
2. Cross-drilled and/or slotted brake rotors may be used. Slots/
holes are permitted only in the braking area of the rotor.
Rotors featuring a drum-type parking brake in the hat area of
88
the rotor may not be drilled or slotted in the parking brake
area.
...
H. Brake calipers may be replaced, provided the number of pistons
is equal to or greater than the original number of pistons. Caliper
mounting brackets may be replaced to accommodate this
change, but may serve no other purpose. Alternate caliper
brackets must bolt to the original caliper bracket mounting
location(s).

So 2-piece rotors & BBK (or LBK) are entirely allowed in SP.

And at the Year End Dinner I recieved the "ASA Cup" (placeholder as the trophies weren't ready).

(See, this is why I'm usually *behind* the camera, this was the only shot Any took where it didn't look like a blurry frame from a sasquatch or UFO film.)

You look thoroughly intoxicated in this picture.

Thanks man!

Looks were pretty far down the list when I was buying parts but I'm pretty happy with "the look" it's ended up with.

Mod of the weekend (thanks to mars636 & Wally):
  • Swapped to stock struts/springs
  • Aligned to winter specs
  • Changed oil to German Castrol (now to see if my car drinks any of it)

Muhahaha!

Finally coming to the 2.0L WRX! :D

And they say on *all* maps, so hopefully that means LC enabled STX maps are in my future. ;)

That's great news.   I have wanted to play around with LC a bit,  and finally we will be able to.  Are you going to Beta test Grant?

That's up to them, I've put the boot in about 1) me being an avid auto-xer, and 2) our different gas up here.

That sucks.  :(  I would like to play with it, but can only see myself using it on the 1/4 mile.

Can't you pull your map, patch it on a PC with the free LC from Nasioc, then reinstall all with the AP2 ?
I think he even has FFS patches for $50.

Hrm... Not really interested in that.

Either AP, or OS.  I feel if I mix & match, then I'd be 100% on my own if anything weird happens.

Hey Grant did you autox with a decent setup and softer springs ? I'm worried about the transition from the
GF210's to a 500lb/400lb coilover.

I'm going to pick up the 350lb springs but I still think 400/350 will be "different".

I did stock suspension, then stock with 22 mm FSB, then stock with 22mm F&R, then 27mm FSB rear set to ~24mm and coilovers.

It's just "better", the car does what you ask instead of having to throw it around.

Hey Grant, are you using a harness bar or are you mounting to the rear seat belt tie location?
And is your PS front seat missing in a couple of those autox day pictures?

Ok I was only worried about it being undriveable for some reason. Having to change driving style a whole bunch. I imagine it will
be kind of like when I went from 20mm sway bars to 24mm. It forced me to be a little smoother and the car handled better and different just not a HUGE change that required a reset in my driving style.

Who knows how much smooth driving talent I've lost over the winter...

I have the Scroth clip-in harnesses that mount/clip to the rear seatbelt locations.

I might have the passenger seat reclined all the way down, but it's not missing. ;)

Sorry for the lack of pics, but I guess putting all the AWD cars in one rungroup made it pretty hard for me to shoot  and drive at the same time.

I got some pics of my wife, who ran in the other rungroup since she was helping with timing.
