Basic ECU table purposes and explanations

I found this.
Is a good read for people who don't know anything about the ECU tables, I think.
It's a long read, and a lot of it is over my head, but you gotta start somewhere right?

Also, I do not know if this is 3g specific (I think the tables he's referring to here are pretty universal among turbo engines) but perhaps a pro can answer.
