Whiteline

27/29 adjustable front (set to 27mm)

20/22/24 adjustable rear (set to 24mm)

Great auto-x setup, trustworthy brand that actually publishes whitepapers about their design and spring rates.

Hmm so people like the bigger front compared to the back then? Interesting.  :)

I've heard balanced front and rear is good. Depends what you're going for though...

Stock is usually bigger in the front than in the back...

I've got 17mm (stock) in the front and the 17mm in the rear from a WRX (up from 13mm!)

Im running stock right now, but am interested in some suspension mods for the summer here...Zaider is the rear sway from a WRX a direct fit or does it require some mods?

From what I can see, lotsa people are runnin the whiteline bars...might have to find one for the front.

your stock ones are the same as mine... 13mm in the rear. The WRX sways are a straight swap/direct fit. The 02WRX has 20mm rear rsb while most other WRX's have a 17mm rsb.

why did you go bigger in the rear?

Because I didn't know what i was doing? When I was ordering them they said they were out of 22mm RSB's at the moment and asked if i wanted a 24mm...

Is this no good?

not necessarily. I was just wondering if you had a specific reason :)

If it's adj, it can be dialed back to 22 to balance... but normally the front it slightly bigger/heavier.

is the rsb adjustable to 22mm? if so, you could run either 22 or 24 in front

both the front and rear that i ordered are adjustable. what do you think would be better, spend the few extra bucks and get a 24mm front instead of the 22mm, or just play with the adjustable settings to balance it out?

I ordered Whiteline 24mm fixed front and 24mm fixed rear.

My 02 has 20mm front and 20mm rear right now, I like how it feels with the alignment I have during Autox (which is why im upgrading at all) and adding adjustable
sway bars into the mix will cause too many setup variables. And I suggest all of you who are upgrading sway bars to ACTUALLY take your
cars to the limit at an AutoX event.

There is NO WAY I can get to the limits of my stock(other than gf210 springs, and a good alignment) suspension and excellent summer tires, while on the street without being a complete jackass.

Until you need to enter a 3 cone slalom while threshold braking from 85kmh, then continuing through the slalom at 60kmh you wont feel a difference in better sway bars.

Thats my opinion.

COBB front and adjustable rear. And the COBB rear strut bar.

Bought the car with them on it, seems the original owner had a COBB fixation. Or they were all he could find in June of 01 for the brand new to the U.S. WRX?

Factory stock Front
sti Rear - stock has no rear sway.

Going from having nothing to the sti has made a noticeable change in handling for me.  General handling feels much better now.  For other 08/09 2.5s who are on a budget you can't go wrong with starting off with a used sti rear sway.
