If anybody has an issue where your clutch sticks half way up. The quickest way to fix it is to pull the helper spring out of the clutch assembly. I had to do this on my car it would stick right after the clutch engaged. Undo the nuts holding the master cylinder to the fire wall. Remove the bolt holding the clutch pedal assembly into the car, remove the pin connecting the master cylinder to the pedal. Pull the clutch pedal assembly out of the car. You will see a pair of nested springs held in place by 2 pins at the top of the pedal knock the pins out and it will come right out. Reassemble minus the helper spring and no more binding. I'm hoping to try and clean and re lube the helper springs and put them back in to see if that stops them from binding, but even if that does not work the clutch pedal takes a bit more effort but it feels a lot better.

Hello All

I have been on this forum for a little while now so thought I'd ask you guys first

I'd like to know if there's any difference body/shell wise between a Canadian Impreza and a JDM??

This is in reference to a RHD to LHD swap.

I'll tell you right now that a RHD to LHD swap is not worth it. You'll spend waaaaay more money trying to swap everything than you think. If you're planning on doing any swapping of any sorts, swap a JDM engine into an GC RS. If you try to convert a RHD vehicle, you'll probably be looking at a price range around quintuple (or more) of what your cost of the car was, and if were getting into that territory of prices, you might as well just buy a CDM vehicle. It's just not worth it at all.

I didnt ask you for your opinion on a swap!!

I asked if there was a difference between the bodies/shells?

Now, I know this is a Subaru forum and we all have our own oppinions on what everyone else is doing/wants to do and there's something called 'freedom of speach' but in this example I'd appreciate just answers to my question!

Is that too much to ask?

Maybe if you actually made your own thread about this rather than posting it in a FAQ sticky, you'd be able to get a few replies. I personally would not be able to tell you with 100% confidence.

Okay, fair point, I'll start a thread of my own.
I asked here as it was in The JDM FAQ's I was looking for an answer, as I thought that would be a good starting point!
I had read that thread before asking my question but it wasn't able to answer it.
