It's looking like it will be the mounts at some point rather than a pitch stop on its own.  I'll likely put the money that would go towards a pitch stop towards the mounts.  And I do appreciate all of my fingers, so like you I'll likely pay someone else to do it.

Good call on the Grillcraft Grills, and er....nice color!
How difficult was the install of the lower grill?

Thanks.  The lower grill is simple.  Pop off your fog covers or bezels, drill a ~1/2" access hole for your mounting screws on either side of the grill.  3 mounting screws in total, 1 on either side, and one on the bottom.  It can be a bit of a PITA to get the screws to line up on the sides, but once you've found thread you're done after a few turns.

So easier than the upper grills? I've had the grills out of my car for a month now, all dissasembled and.......I lose my motivation when it comes time to hack apart the original inserts, just don't have the guts to do it yet.....
I used to drive Subaru's.

Bought Samco IC hoses, and Afta MAF along with t-bolts, and ordered a Killer B oil pick up tube yesterday.  Will get pics of said junk at some point.

Afta MAF?
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

Just the stupid name they give to the plastic elbow between the MAF and turbo inlets.

It's not bad from what I understand. I'd like to order one out of posterity, but for the price, I can't justify it on a whim..

I didn't know about the replacement oil pipes. Is it basically a certainty that these will break in an EJ25?

Yeah, I saw the gallery. I've been searching around to see if it really is a problem or just sort of a fluke. It does appear to happen on a worryingly large cross-section of turbo EJ25s.

edit: Eep.

That was the motivation for me as well; it's one less thing to worry about.  It's happened to a few people on this board alone; can't recall whom.

I replaced mine and the stocker wasn't cracked, but had the formation of a crack.

I installed the Samco hoses yesterday, the recirc tube is a massive PITA.  Not so much getting the new one on, but the getting the old one off.

The Killer B p/u tube should be here soon, will wait until next oil change to install.

Nice clamps,  see you got them from greenline.  One thing though, You should grind the clamp between the intercooler and the manifold so it sits under the raised lip on the casting.  I know the clamps width are a hair thicker then the lip on the intercooler, so overtime the clamps will walk on you.  Just a piece of mind.

Thanks for the tip.  So you're referring to the clamp on the short coupler, on the t-body side?  I wish the coupler was a little longer, seems like it's just long enough.  I'll definitely keep an eye on it.

Stock on same dyno ~170-175 whp / wtq???

The OTS Cobb stage 2 map had me at 203 whp @ 5100 / 223 wtq @ 3800.  I'm sure that would be 3 million HP and 4 million WTQ on a dyno in Florida...  ;)

So Sunny was able to improve the numbers, and the area under the curve considerably.

Wonder how this would feel at sea level.

Jan 22/2011: Re-ran logs with my now known car + driver + junk weight.  These are typical results from a Airboy road tune, I looked through Airboy plots done in Calgary and without fail a stage 2 91 octane tune runs at 206-207 whp/270 wtq.  Mr Consistency.

Current Airboy Dyno #'s on page 4, Airboy Dyno Dynamics #'s on page 3.
