Worst case you can weld hooks to it and hold your grocery bags off the trunk floor when you corner.

Way ahead of yah, I strapped my autox/rallyx helmet to it.

So I've taken a slight hiatus from this car,  but I've gotta start getting it ready for the winter.

Updated the wiring on the HID lights (had to get them out of the engine bay)

Added some hella tones (f'n hell these are loud!):

And put some clear corner markers on:

Next will be to finally fix/upgrade my rear brakes.

Looking good! I'm digging those clear signals. Where did you pick them up if you don't mind me asking?

Little pre-winter updates, before it gets too messy to work on anything under a car. I think I'm procrastinating doing the rear brake swap and finding other things to work on (I'm truly dreading that work):

Updated the coolant hoses and flushed the system (YAY! They're finally all one colour)

Update the Tie-rod and lower ball joint (hit a curb last year and they weren't doing so well, lots of play):

Damn what a beaut!
Love it. =P
Did you ever end up using that GTSpec trunk cage to secure your grocery bags?
Doesn't look like it really does provide a lot of structural rigidity; what did you decide you wanted it for?

I bought it because GC8's have the structural rigidly of a wet noodle and I auto/rally-cross the car as much as my schedule will allow. It did make a small difference, and you don't even need to be at the limit to feel it.

Would I invest another one though? Nope...

First off - this build is inspiring.
Really nice Gc8!!!

Secondly, I need to change out the rear rotors on my 98 Gc8 Ver 4 Sti.
The rotors you bought - RSTR-2634 - are the exact ones I think I need.

Can I come and take a look at them?
Just want to make sure before I order...

Also, it's an excuse to look at some of the other stuff you've done.
