Basegrind/wax - Where to go in Calgary?
« on: November 19, 2013, 07:30:02 pm »
Hey, I've been away from the slopes for about 8 years. Since moving to Calgary this summer, I'm pretty amped on being super close to the action.

Can anybody direct me to any preferred/good shops for snowboard maintenance?

Thanks!

Stonegrind might be tricky as the machine must have wide stones for snowboards.

You may call places that sell snowboards, but be aware some shops outsource the service.
Sport check - belt sanders only, low pricing
Sports rent -
Abominable -
University of Calgary-

SKiWest, TechnoSport, Felix - all do skis, no idea if they do  snowboards.

Check kijiji as well - be aware most adds are for manual maintenance - no machines;
The turnaround time is something to consider as well.

Your best bet is to have your gear DIY maintained, after the initial shop tune.

The Source. Not always the best turn around time, but those dudes know what they are doing.
