How to remove a transmission

Its a two step process , step one take it out , step two , well its out so this step is redundant . If anyone tells you its harder than that they lied , 2 steps , that's all.

1) Can I do this with out removing the battery connection?, that takes a lot of time.
2) It sounds like you were hitting a chisel, can I use a wood chisel?, or can I just strike the top of the transmission directly with the back of the axe?
3) this is probably obvious, but using your "long drop" method, automatically removes the ground wire, right?...
