Wind just upgraded their Calgary network. But I'm paying for a 15GB family share plan. $165 for 2 phones.

How is reception after the upgrade? Some co-workers are on wind and complain about the service, but are happy with the price. I'm paying $90 on bell, but the service is great.

Wrong thread, but I jumped ship back to bell pre-upgrade.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

It's so fun but it's making me do dumb things - I walked around  in the rain for half an hour tonight and then stood around a bunch of closed restaurants in aspen woods. Got a meowth, a growlithe, and a squirtle so it was worth it... Maybe...

Using it for the first time today, and I am kind of impressed! I'm actually seeing things that I never noticed before....
I work downtown with the gov't right now, and just on my way in, I stopped a couple of pokestops at "landmarks" like statues, or shops that have been around since the early 20th century, or even just art on the walls of buildings. I'm actually learning a bit more about the city.... It's cool! I'll play it in Jasper this weekend and see how that works for me! Maybe i'll find something rare at the top of a mountain haha

Got pikachu outside my house during the storm last night. Yep.

Don't do it! You'll never get any work done if you do.

But really, you should do it because it's fun.

Is it too late for me to get started with this? Or should I wait for the official release?

Yes, there's 3 pokestops within reach of my desk that I can hit every 20 minutes?

Tons and tons in DT.

I don't think it's too late. I know a lot of people who are waiting for the Canadian release. You might be at a slight disadvantage by waiting but, aside from the hardcore people out there, I don't think it would be too difficult to catch up.
I'd be waiting if I had an android because I don't like the idea of using an apk to get it. I'm an iOS user and was fine with setting up a US iTunes account.

uckfay. I uckfaying caved and downloaded the game on my iPhone.

I have been hating on this game since it came out but I do play video games and what not so I figured I shouldn't judge a book by its cover and actually try it. Although I still cannot play as it won't let me create an account due to too many people making them at the same time.

Quick question for those who have it on their iPhones....Since you have to make a US account to download the app, if I log out of that iTunes account and log back into my normal Canadian account will it not allow me to play the game?

Now I am real angry that I did this....I logged out of my normal account to make the US one and I lost all my music from Apple Music.

You can log-off and go back to your Cdn account instantly. No problems.

The game runs off a separate log-in, so your progress will always be saved within the game. No relation to your app store after downloading.

However - You cannot make in-game purchases yet on iphone due to the app store etc. and your CC address would be Canadian and not work.

Catching lots of low level pokemon. At what point is it worth it to start dumping dust + candy into them?

Sooo aside from the workaround of getting the game from the U.S app store there is now a workaround on how to spoof your location and manually move your character, here's a screenshot of my screen of the UI, some people will hate on it but who really has time to walk all over the place to find pokemon ? it now plays like a classic pokemon game.

iPhone - Setup a US iTunes account
Android - Download the APK from a trustworthy source.

As for location spoofing, you need a rooted or jailbroken device and a GPS spoofing app. So you'd need to open the app and manually update your spoofed location, and then relaunch pokemon go. It's very clunky.

Lot's of people have time. I have a ton of friends who are getting out there, walking around their neighborhoods in the evening. Get out there and pound the pavement, and stop cheating the system.
