Keyboard and mouse for Xbox One?
« on: December 11, 2016, 01:44:40 pm »
Hey all, curious if anyone is using a keyboard and mouse with a console, Xbox One specifically? I'm getting Battlefield 1 so I was looking into it and saw there's work arounds via extensions you can download. I would think a mouse would be useful for a fps.

I also saw Microsoft is planning to offer something like this for Xbox, but not sure when that'll actually happen.

I haven't personally, but I have a friend that does and it gives him a serious advantage. To the point that his KD with a controller is less than 1.0 and his KD with a keyboard/mouse is greater than 1.7. This is PS4 though.

I believe the PS3 allowed you to hook up a keyboard and mouse to the console, while the Xbox 360 did not. Microsoft has always been adamant about using their own propriety hardware for their console, while sony with the PS4 has always been a bit more..... open?? (For example, being able to use any old bluetooth headset, any old HDD, etc.)

I believe for this current generation, things aren't much different.

Don't know about downloadable extensions but I know you can do this with some extra piece of hardware. Check out http://xim4.com/ Pretty pricey imo.
