WRB Paint
« on: March 16, 2017, 01:26:28 pm »
Hey everyone!

Does anyone have any experience with getting the WRB paint locally? I could only find one shop that can get the paint and they can get it done fairly quick. GrimmSpeed has a premade paint that they sell and it has gotten wicked reviews.

Calgary Body Shop Supplies LTD.
http://www.cbssltd.com/
$25-$30 CAD and it takes them 5-10 minutes to prepare it.

Advance Auto Color
http://www.advancecolorandautopanels.com/
$25 CAD and it takes 20 minutes to prepare a can.

RallySportDirect
https://www.rallysportdirect.com/part/accessories/grm-054002-grimmspeed-touch-up-paint-world-rally-blue
$17 USD (~$23 CAD) before duty, tarrif, etc.
Last time I ordered something from RSD it took around 3 weeks to get it.

Thanks everyone!

It depends on how much you want to paint. WRB comes in a few variants so if you're doing body panels be careful - I know this from personal experience with Screamin' Paintworks in Calgary. If you're touching up you may be able to get away with whichever you find. Pens are less than $20 at the dealership.

Good to know! Grimspeed doesn't do different variants for the paint, so i'm curious how they know which WRB each order has.

Calgary Body Shop Supplies LTD. said they'll match the paint if I bring the car in, so I might get a couple cans made up and see how it looks compared to my car.

Wicked! I just talked to Hakim and he says it's $25 a can and it's 20 minutes to get it ready. And they're 2 blocks away from my office! Thanks seat safety switch!
