Thank you very much.

Small update, turns out the APR wide body has completely itshay fitment and just to get someone to do the rears properly will be in the $4000 range. I did look into just buying the Voltex rear flares but was told they are about a 4 months wait. That does not fit into my time line, so I will be putting the old flares back on for now.

2019. I will campaign it here in cscs until i leave, when i leave it will stay here as I will fly back to race some more cscs events hoping to either win another championship or at least podium (hopefully lol).

I will either have it transported or drive back out to tow it myself so I can start doing laps at castrol and hopefully badlands.

here are some quick pics of the door panel fitment with the APR wide body, this isnt terrible but the rear panel is far worse, for a kit costing what it does I would expect it to fit much nicer. I understand things never go to plan while modding but my ABW flares fit a hell of a lot nicer than this does. I this will require panels to be cut up re-fiber-glassed and molded to fit the lines it should fit.

the space for the door handles wasnt even cut out, I did a rough cut thinking it was the reason it wouldnt sit correctly..

Smaller panel gaps than Tesla Mode 3's! I'll see myself out...

Too bad no passenger seat - would love to go for a ride along. I guess I will just have to watch the car as it laps me from my driver seat  ::)

Absolutely love the build by the way man - thanks for sharing your progress!

sorry for the lack of updates, but that's because there really isn't any. I just came back from Romania and that was a bit of a itshay show so I wanted to take some "me" time lol. I have next week off also or I guess that is this week. I will be heading down to get some work in on the car.

We have been told the motor is delayed due to the piston and rod manufacture running out of the parts that are needed, ETA mid to end April by the sounds of things. Not overly impressed by this as it took this long for them to tell us. OH well just means less testing time before round one. To mitigate the effects of this I will be dropping in a spare motor to start making lines and installing things or at least placing them in the area I want them to be so we can figure out if it will work or not.

Sasha was hard at work sorting out the chassis harness and has sent over the drawings and info. Harness building will begin this week and we should have it in our hands in 2-3 weeks.

some data has been removed, please don't ask for pin outs or such as this is something I cannot share.

A little more work done on the race car today, I dropped in the old 207 laying around the shop so I can test fit and start working on the engine harness.

motor and all the bits attached

installed the AIM Smartycam

Made a shelf for the ECU and AIM EVO4s to mount on.

quick interior pic at the end of the day. Damn that flocking needs to be redone.

tomorrow I will finish up some little stuff then back to Kingston for a bit.

Fly me out I'll fit and paint that kit. All fiberglass stuff sucks balls for fitment.

I've done a RUF, MSPORT and Liberty Walk so far. They are all terrible and need a ton of trimming an massaging to fit right so I wouldn't get discouraged by yours just yet.

haha, good/shity to know. people spend a lot of money on these kits and it requires the same if not more to install it lol.

More wiring going on, with the motor in place we can start with the engine harness.

this will pretty much be where everything will be once installed properly

after looking around for a while I was able to find a diffuser that I like, today it showed up.

still waiting on a motor, seems people can't see past the end of their desk to forecast pasrt shortages and give a heads up to the customer.

Thanks for making the rest of us with aftermarket diffusers look like crap.

That thing is amazing.  Where did you get it?

hahaha I wouldn't want to use this on a street car. It is made by DHP composites.

Wow, now that's a real rear diffuser. How far past the rear differential is this going to cover? What is the expected top corner speed on your home track?

well that's the funny thing, current rules for super street in CSCS will not allow my to place this further forward than the axles and no further back than 3" past the rear bumper. SO I am either going to have to see if I can make it work, or a little trimming on the end.

I would have to look at the data I have been collecting on cars that I am helping with data acquisition, TMP which is the "benchmark" for local cars isn't that crazy and fast, sure you see some high straight line speed and on turn one we are seeing 1.5-.1.8g's at max attack, but not sustained for long and the rest of the track is like Castrol. This setup will see more impact on the GP track and all the tracks that are used by Global time attack in the US.

If the track in Calgary comes through then it would be put to good use there.

some new AIM stuff arrived, sadly the steering angle sensor was not the correct version so I will have to wait a week or 2 before that is replaced. The AIM button interface allows you to use buttons (usually on the steering wheel) to manipulate the dash since it is usually in a place you cannot get your hands on while driving. Also there is the AIM brake sensor along with 2 712 to 719 patch cables.

I also picked up a new visor.

Would be a shame to have to trim that beautiful piece to fit the regulation. From the badland big track layout, there appears to be a few places where your aero would help.

Well I don't think I will have to worry about the CSCS rules, It is confirmed I am moving back to AB and I will have little to no time to deal with the car before the move happens. So the car will stay at Touge Tuning and they will finish up what ever is left by the time I leave. Once it's done I will fly back to do some on track testing with Sasha, then store it for the season and grab it next spring. Sadly this is the only way to get it done and I really do not want to rush this.

The Bandlands long track will stubbornly benefit from cars with better Aero setups.

I am heading down this Friday to test fit the chassis harness and make sure we didn't forget anything with it. Motor harness is almost done being spec'd and will be sent off to be built later this week.
