Blob Eye STi's incoming
« on: February 10, 2018, 01:12:29 pm »
http://www.velocitycars.ca/vehicle/2003-Subaru-Impreza-WRX/14012?s=1

I was looking at velocity cars and noticed that weird little box on the rear right of this car, going to the rear diff? Anyone know what that is?
The 3 is raw.  Lighter than more agile.  The 6 probably feels like a 747.  And by that contrast, my STI probably feels like the Hindenburg.  So GR's are like the International Space Station.

The box looks like the charcoal canister and the sensor in the diff is for temperature. Not related haha.

Lol, charcoal canister that is a square box in the rear of the car? Is that actually what it is?

I assumed that was some sort of temperature probe, but wires looked to be going into that little box.

Interesting!

Yeah, that's a common location for it on lots of vehicles, import and domestic.

And the photo does kind of make it look like the wires are going there, but if you look closer, you can see that the hose coming from the back of the canister is actually larger than the wires from the sensor.
