I'll be running Hankook R-S3 when the time comes, but that won't be until the temps are hitting 10*C consistently.
This is me, also. I think this might actually be the first time I've ever had actual summer tires on a car as opposed to no-seasons.

Summer won't go on until after May long weekend, I will probably switch from winters to all seasons in the next week or so though.

Might be tempted to put them on sooner if I can find a vendor that has the GT1s in stock in quantities greater than 3...

Yeah, snow tires + 9-10C on my commute home felt so incredibly....gross.

Edit: just made an appt at Urban Expressions (Foothills) tomorrow to swap on my Pilot Sport AS Plus.  Said they're fairly open currently if anyone else is thinking of doing the same.  The Pilots are at least passable in winter in case we get another dump of snow.

I also ordered the Star specs....but like THE EDJ said....they wont be going on until the temps are above 10*c consistently.

I'm also trying to find anyone with cheap all seasons i can run until then, cuz my Nokian Hakkapeliitta R's are not liking the +7* weather....  :(

Ditto. Now is the time I don't like thinking about my poor WS-60's.. I purposely go and hit puddles/snow/slush..
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

Have you felt how soft your tread blocks are?  I poked at mine when I got home today, I didn't think they could be any softer than they already were when it was -20C.

When I open the window I feel like my tires are louder than my exhaust

LDS, tell me about it.  I have the same winters and with our mild winters I wonder if I should just get a snow rated all-season.

My summers will hopefully go on this weekend.

Anyone have experience with continental tires? I am looking into the extreme contact dw's.

I ordered a set of these off Tirerack to replace the worn out factory sp 600. I'll throw up a review once I've had them for a while. I realized I don't need crazy tires for what I do. The soft cornering feel is well worth the added tire life, quiet ride, and soft ride...

Since i spent 2 hours trying to get my gf's accord unstuck from our back alley on saturday and, after almost getting my car stuck using a tow rope to try to pull it out, I figure my winter tires can stay on a couple more weeks. Seeing as how this is the last season for both those rims and tires... meh

Don't think my WS-70's like this weather very much at all......but the stock Yokohama's are abismal in anything aproaching single digits, so the Blizzaks will stay on for another two or three weeks.

Yesterday was the first time I'd ever considered using the word "icky" to describe something; that's what it felt like to drive on them.  The WS70's just felt entirely strange.

I'm trying to decide when to put the no-seasons back on the wife's car. I still haven't ordered summer tires yet so I'm stuck on my gooey WS-70's right now. The steering feels really vague and unresponsive, I can't wait to get something more aggressive on the car.

EDJ, I've found my Pilot Sport AS Plus to be an excellent 3 season tire.  I don't autocross, etc... but they've never left me wanting more spring through fall.

Yeah the Forester won't be auto-xing either. It came with a new set of all season tires and a new set of winter tires, but I can't remember what tires they were.

I think I've made an executive decision to put my summers on this weekend. If it snows, I'll sit it out at home playing Crysis 2.

RE: Three sets of tires... yeah, I've had 3 full sets for the last two cars I've owned. I'd obviously prefer only 2 sets, but I find there's a gap between the suitable conditions for winters and suitable (safe) conditions for summers, which is when I use the no-seasons. I typically run the no-seasons April-May, and again Oct-Nov/Dec, depending on the conditions.

While it is more expensive to run three sets of tires, I've found this gets me an additional year or two out of all three sets, while also making it generally safer to drive. It won't offset the initial outlay of cash (I think) but I'd rather be safe.

My summer wheels w/ star specs went back on last week, maybe I jumped the gun but so far so good.  One of my blizzaks bit it so it had to be done  >:D

I completely agree about 3 sets. I've done the same with my last car. I will probably get a third set for this car soon.
I think my SP600s go on tomorrow.
