Test fit cars wanted! Lifelong discount to volunteers
« on: January 25, 2012, 09:13:41 am »
Simple idea I have here,
I'm always needing cars to look at to try new fitments and such.
So if you volunteer I'll give you %15 off anything I make for the rest of your life!
Want something marketable made for you're car? Same deal applies, as long as I can sell it and you can lend out your car you get %15 off everything.

Currently I'm looking for:

06-07 Impreza, WRX, STi
08-12 Impreza, WRX, STi
03-09 Legacy

10-12 Legacy
08-12 Forester
12-~  NA Impreza

06-07 Impreza, WRX, STi
Foresters!
As you know, I have both of these. (GD and SG models)
And as you know, I'm more than willing to be a tester, as I have been in the past.

Even if I don't buy whatever you're inventing, you're free to use both my vehiculars as test subjects.

+1.

You have a sedan or hatch!   Not sure if it'll matter much though.

My car inadvertently became a test subject for skidplate+fumoto recently. Does that count? ;)

I always forget you have the STi now lol
But I've got your fozzy completely covered for now. I was just too lazy to specify years lol

Hey man, do you make them rad shrouds and pulley covers for a 2011sti?     Should be the same as 08+ if I'm not mistaken.   Let me know,

Thanks,
Connor

Have you tried the rad shroud and belt cover on 08+ more specifically 2011+ they should be the same. I am assuming the Turbo Heat shield works as well with the Grimmspeed working 08-12.

If you need a car for a day, I am more that happy to come by and test fit when I am in town. Also a skid plate is nice this one is pricey ( http://gtspec.com/product/gtspec-aluminum-front-under-tray-cooling-panel-2008-wrxsti )

Did that all end up working for you?

Someone bumped a different thread in your sub-forum today, which reminded me that I never responded with an update.

The skid plate ended up needing some slight modification in order to clear my Fumoto quick drain valve: contact between plate and valve gouged the plate a bit and caused the Fumoto to loosen and eventually spew oil all over the place... during an auto-x. Oops!

I don't have long monkey/Inspector Gadget arms, so fiddling with multiple washers between the plate and the car while lying *under* said plate & car, for every oil change, is not an option. Fortunately, I know a guy... :) My brother was able to make and weld on some custom spacers for a neater, more permanent fix.

Yay! It clears!

I've had zero issues in well over a year, aside from this, so yes, it did all end up work for me in the end.
