Hello Everyone,

I bought my STI new in August 2011.  I have to say I absolutely love it.  Right now it has less than 10K because she is not winter driven.  Yes, I know what I am missing  :-[.  Here is what I have on her so far.

Installed
On Order/waiting to be installed
Future Plans

Interior:
Rear view mirror with homelink
Subaru rubber matts
DAMD Flat Bottom Steering Wheel
DVD/NAV Head unit - so many options out there it's tough to decide.

Exterior:
Clear Bra
De-badged except the STI
RA mudflaps with red lettering
Red 3m overlays on the tail lights
STI V-limited front spoiler
Red pinstripe on the grill
STI Black R205 Side emblems
35% tint all around
Bayson R STI Side Skirts
Nokya 3000K Hyper Yellow DLR bulbs
Black Top Aero Double Deck STI Rear Spoiler (Cancelled due to production issues) Varis wing maybe in order

Wheels/Suspension
Stock for now.  I'm thinking of powder coating my stock rims black till I can decide on a rim I like.

Engine:
COBB 3" SS CBE
Cobb AP
Cobb Intake

On to some pics:

Good weather cannot come soon enough.  More pics to follow once parts start being added.

Lol. I guess that makes three if us with almost identical cars and similar mod lists ;)

I wish I only had 10,000km. I just rolled over 72 last week.
If you want a WSC License plate frame, PM me. Now available in black with white lettering!

Little Update:

Bayson R STI Side Skirts arrived.  I'll post pics soon.  First impressions, I really like them  :).  Product looks well manufactured, shipped very quickly and install should be a breeze.  I have yet to find a poor response from this product and at almost a third of the price of the Subaru ones you cannot go wrong in my opinion.  Should match my front lip perfectly.  Cannot wait for my wing.

Lol Thanks man. It's bound to happen, there are mods on the SWP that must be done  :D
Just went through your journal, absolutely sick.

Well, it's been a few months since my last update and the car has gone through a couple of changes.  I had to cancel my Black Top Aero order, they had a major problem at the factory which delayed production indefinitely.  This may just open the door to a Varis wing.   :D  Anyways, enjoy the new pictures.

COBB catback exhaust -  the rubble sound  ;D

NOKYA Hyper yellow DLR

Bayson R Side Skirts

Lastly, a couple of rollers

DAMD installed

Initial thoughts, absolutely awesome.  I should have done this a lot sooner.  Wheel feels great in the hands and construction is top shelf.  Anyone contemplating this I can say pull the trigger you will not be disappointed.

Steering wheel and seat, two parts of the car your body makes the most contact with. Gotta have good steering wheel and good seat to love the car.

Not a very OEM car but, congrats! Welcome to the forum!

Don't even get me started! Finding a stock 11-14 STi Hatch with low km, exceptional condition, and meticulously maintained is a nearly impossible task!
This one ticked all the boxes except for the few minor mods and frankly everything that was done to the car is "OEM Plus" in regards to looks, quality, and feel (other than the awful tint - I will be introducing it to the garbage bin shortly).

Amen to this! The DAMD wheel is a great upgrade but the steering on this car is still broken. I really hope some upgraded steering rack bushings remedy the awful slop inherent on these cars from the factory. ::)

Whiteline steering rack bushings make quite a difference. Be wary about beefing FSB's as you'll probably understeer more when you least want to. Consider upgrading the endlinks and bushings but not the bar. Upgrading the control arm bushings also helps with the front end.

Sloppy steering was one of the first things I noticed when I got my GR, and I still notice it from time to time. I would love to hear an update if you get around to upgrading this.

I will definitely update! Just have to figure out if I can DIY this or need to take to a shop (I read somewhere that the alignment can be inadvertently thrown off when doing the bushing install).

The car currently has Eibach Front (25 mm) and Rear (22 mm) Adjustable Sway Bars installed along with Kartboy Endlinks. The PO doesn't remember what they are set to, just that one is set to "soft", the other one to "hard". Whatever the settings are, the car certainly exhibits very neutral handling characteristics - I was pleasantly surprised to find that it does not understeer at the limit! ;D

Yes, you are removing the steering column from the steering rack, so if you don't line up the splines during the reinstall, it will be off.  Just mark the alignment with a sharpie before you detach.  It's certainly an intimidating mod, but when I did mine, I had Canuckrz by my side and his strong arms filled my heart with confidence.  <3

If you decide to do it yourself, make a post and call the forum to your aid.  People here are generous with their time (sometimes)

I have an appointment booked at Allmakes for next week to install the Whiteline Steering Rack Bushings and do a Brake Fluid Flush so I'll provide my impressions of the steering shortly thereafter.

Any recommendation for Brake Fluid for this car and where to buy? The guy at Allmakes just recommended to go with DOT 4 spec. I would say this car will be subjected to "spirited driving" but certainly no track days or anything even close.

Motul fluid has fairly decent boiling point temps. Any "race" fluid won't be worth the price IMO if you're not tracking it. I used it when swapping my calipers and flushed with it.

If you're not tracking, honestly NAPA Dot-4 is good and cheap.
