With a park job like that I expected to see some truck nuts.
I used to drive Subaru's.

You really gotta zoom in if you want to see his nuts.

Since the car hasn't sold yet, I guess I might as well keep having fun with it.
Signed up for the ASA TnT.

Feel free to come see it in action, maybe take some rides to convince you that you want it.
Of note, if you buy the car prior to May 14, I'll pay for your autox entry to this event. ;)

Welp, 2014 season has started, and I still have the car. So let's get on with things.

2014 ASA #0 - Test n Tune
Fastest: Run 2
Overall Raw: 4th - 67.816 (1st - GTR - 64.061)
Overall PAX: 4th - 57.554 (1st - GTR - 55.733)
SPREP: 1st

The biggest deal about this event is that it was at Castrol Raceway.
First time I've ever been to castrol. First time I've ever done any racing on an actual speedway. First event of the year.
I had my doubts about this coming autox season with the lack of venues in this terrible car unfriendly NIMBY city. But now that it's happened, holy itshay was it ever awesome.

There are some limitations in course design, with the race surface being quite skinny. However, the "on the fly" course was fun as hell and super fast. Possibly too fast.
The surface is slippery due to it being quite new asphalt, but it is a "controllable" slippery.
There is some concern in some sections due to the jersey barriers, but you have to know the limits of your car in autox anyways. So deal with it.
Because of that, I was a little bit "balls in purse" for this event while I learned the surface, and relearned the car after a winter in hibernation.

Fastest clean run

I know where I shouldn't have braked, and where I should have been on the gas earlier.

Car is still available for acquisition by the public, but I'll continue to have fun with it while I can.

assay.

One more event for the ol' Jerkmobile.
This will likely be the last event this car takes part in under my ownership.
C'mon out for rides.

They're going to park their car over there. You're going to park your car over here. Get it?

Well now.
That was fun.

An unfortunate day for some (sorry GrantC and YvanF) but pretty great for others.

2014 ASA #1 - I Don't Know What I'm Doing
Fastest: Run 4
Overall Raw: 1st - 60.276 (4th - GTR - 60.646  >:D)
Overall PAX: 2nd - 51.155 (1st - Focus - 49.944)
SPREP: 1st

It was soaking when I showed up. I HATE racing in the rain. So much so that I would have not shown up to the event had this not been the last one I would be driving this car at.
I designed the course, my first "wet so keep it slow into corners and safe" course design.
Now, I don't wanna brag... it was probably one of the funnest courses I've ever driven. But I'll let others be the judge of that since I might be 2% biased.
The car handled miraculously on the wet slippery surface. I found the perfect setting on the DCCD (which was *not* in fact "open") that gave me the perfect about of controllable assy-hangy-outy.
It made me think "why the hell am I getting rid of this?"
...and then I had a 60 minute commute home and remembered.

Anyways, this happened.

Slow?!  I think the video contradicts that a bit...

Isn't that smooth pavement nicer then the parking lots?  Nice video, thanks for sharing.  It looks like you guys get to use most of the track.  I only didn't see the turn on the far east side and the 2 hairpins.  Anyways, I always like see the videos, be it this car or the next one, keep'em coming.  Congrats on 1st and your course design literally killed.   ;D

1,191 days ago, this happened. And I was happy.

I acquired a car built to take the load I was planning to put on it.
And thusly I did.

Dozens of autocrosses.
More than a few roadtrips.
Several winding roads.
A local championship.
A national championship.
I even autocrossed it in another country.

6 sets of tires.
2 sets of struts.

Hours upon hours spent on jack stands, surrounded by helpful friends.

19,890 kilometers.

Countless grins, giggles, and "WHEEEEEEEEHEEEHEEEHEEE"s

For now, this journey is over.

...but I suspect I will do it all over again.

Fin.
