Just some paddock shots before I took off last night.

Awesome! Thanks Grant! Noticed you didn't hang around too long with that storm rolling in. :o

@Jellynuts , LMAO it was a joke gift from my father in law for my birthday recently. It works on many levels (for the car and myself) and smells like berries to boot!  ;D

Had a great time out there even in the crazy storm, I got some pretty good video of my runs. Will post up later.

Participated in the Track and Tune autocross at Castrol on Sunday. Was a great time although there were some issues with the timing equipment due to rain and not enough people to marshal the course, it meant we got to run a few extra laps and just try to beat our own times. Here's a video of my second lap just as the storm hit, made for some dicey driving conditions but was still a lot of fun.

Got a bunch of clips and pics I want to attempt to make a video out of. Will share when done.

Stormy conditions are where subarus shine at autocross :)

It's crazy how the weather suddenly turned as you went around the first corner. You drove into the storm! :O

Thanks guys! IT was a lot of fun and I have to say my Hankooks performed wonderfully in all of that water, only got one dry lap on them and they were awesome in that too! Hoping to get out one more time this season.

Just tossing a few new pics in here, nothing really to update as the car has remained the same since my last post.
Winter tires will be going on this weekend along with oil change an possibly a new belt as it's squealing a bit.
Also changed the brake pads last service but getting a noticeable squeak as I ease into a stop, going to try brake quiet to rectify the sound but does anyone know what else might cause this on brand new brake pads?

What pads did you get?

1) Lube the back of the pads/shims/plates/sliders all that jazz
2) If the pads are brand new, it helps to take a file to the leading edge of the friction material to knock a small chamfer into them. Mine squeaked in reverse, it took a few stops at speed (lol) in reverse to quiet them down

Just for my records from last Friday Oct 27th

Kms 102580
Services completed:
Accessory Belt
Oil change
Spark plugs

I've been kinda terrible at keeping this info logged (I still have my receipts etc for service/maintenance records) so now that I'm out of my warranty I will have to record this somewhere.

Been having some issues with my passenger side fog light falling out of the housing.
The plastic clips that hold it in place are worn and refuse to stay put so I have ordered the LED Morimoto set from Prolightz and come with yellow Lamin-X pre-installed.

The ones from Alibaba never really provided a nice light output and with the orewhay frost fog during my morning commutes lately I felt it necessary to have some good functioning fogs.

Also thinking about wrapping the fog bezels with some black vinyl material, possibly faux carbon fiber, as any paint I put on them just chips away.

Another couple of minor updates,

Fog lights have arrived
Got "Santa" bringing me a pitch stop mount for Xmas  ;D you know, because of all the torques this FB20 lays down.  :sarcasm:
I picked up some blue metallic vinyl (very similar to my paint) to attempt the fog bezels
Also ordered a windshield banner from Premium Auto Styling (went with the all black "Stealth" option) because Black Friday deals...
Toying with the idea of removing either the rear window spoiler or the roof mounted vortex generator as I feel it's too "busy" back there. Not sure which one to take off.

None of this will be installed until I'm off for Xmas holidays as I'd like to also put it up on stands and do my CVTF change at the same time.
Will be rolling into 2018 with a bit of a new look to the Impreza.  ;)

Back from my Vacation in Punta Cana, got lots of R&R and played a itshay ton of beach volley ball.

Installed my Morimoto LED Fog lights yesterday but didn't get to really see them until this mornings commute.
The cast a nice wide yellow field under my HID's and are exactly what I was looking for.

Also performed an oil change (111,158 kms)

Didn't end up getting the pitch stop mount as Torque Solutions doesn't ship to the great white north but I'll keep my eye out. I know Perrin has one that fits but it doesn't come in blue  :'(.

Windshield is soo busted/cracked (no cracks across my field of view) so I will wait to apply the banner after I replace the glass come spring.

Lastly I attempted to vinyl wrap the fog bezels with the blue metallic... yeah no, I am not so good at vinyl wrapping rounded objects. I may apply it to some interior components in the meantime.
The bezels will remain the chipped yellow they are currently until I either give them a hearty coating of dip or paint in the spring.

Oil Changed
119,795 kms

Air Filter cleaned and re-oiled

Engine bay cleaned

Painted fog bezels and lower rear bumper section with the rocker guard black paint, hopefully this holds up better than the Yellow caliper paint.

Tried my hand at a little vinyl yesterday, wasn't perfect but I managed to squeegee out my mistakes and I think it looks awesome!
This is as close as I will get to racing stripes  ;D
