Picked up my 2009 WRB STi base model in London, Ontario in March 2009.  The dealer swapped the summer tires for Dunlop Wintersport 3Ds, and I was able to pick up a set of gold bbs wheels with summer tires off of someone on iwsti just after I picked up the car.

Got it home and already had a home ready for it in my large garage/workshop

In Chatham, Ontario, there was only 3 Subaru STi's in the whole city, we quickly found one another and starting hanging around.

The mods started out just with the stereo, and being close to the United States I was able to do it quite inexpensively.  Quickly after hanging around with other enthusiasts it wasn't long before I bought a used Cobb Accessport for Stage 1.

The year I bought the car we took a trip down to Gatlinburg, Tennessee and while there paid a visit to the Tail of the Dragon.  Some photos from that trip:

We moved to Calgary in 2011 for my work, and I drove across the country with it.  Still trying to find photos of this trip and will post them up here when I do find them.  According to my lovely wife we did not take any photos as we were in a large hurry to get moved in 3 days, oh well.

Since moving to Calgary I started to walk to work, which greatly reduced the kilometres being put on both my car and my wife's car.  I moved here with approximately 30,000km on the car in 2011, and now I have this:

Since moving to Calgary I have put on the turbo inlet, Crawford AOS and had it tuned by Airboy Tuning.

Recently Changed my summer wheels to CR Kiwamis, complete with Michelin Pilot Supersports.  Pics of mounting at Urban X SE

Quick Pics on the car:

Hoping once I am recovered from knee surgery that I can get some better pictures of the car.

Drugs are bad. Mmmkay.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

Order for DAMD steering wheel goes in tomorrow.  Along with that a JDM dual console box, and maybe some blacked out STi side markers.  Finally after 4 years of ownership I may actually know what a centre armrest feels like on long drives.

Now, just need my leg to heal so I can do the installs when they get here.

I can come over and install the parts/mock you. I'm sure we know a few others who would be more than willing to pitch in as well.

Sounds like a plan.  ;)

P.S. Good looking photos, I'm jelly of those wheels.

Fixed

I may take you up on that, the install services that is, depending on when stuff gets here.  I do not want to put the wheel on before I can actually drive again.  That would just make the recovery feel that much longer.

Thanks, the photos were impromptu, and I want to get out for a proper photo shoot.  Hope to do it in September, just have a pick a good locale.

I really like the wheels, still torn whether AHG Bronze would have looked better or not.  I think I spend most of my time now keeping them clean due to my muddy ally.

I have to say, it is quite dangerous being stuck at home for 2 weeks with nothing to do all day but research car parts and other related things.  If I did not have self control I would be close to broke by now.

The urge will be scratched tomorrow with the parts order.  I also have the sneaking feeling that my wife has gotten me parts for my birthday next week.

I've been staring at shift knobs and short shifters all day today, you're not helping.  :(

BTW, I bought the same swaybars as you, what's your thoughts on them?

Well I received my birthday gifts!  My wife ordered new brake/shifter boots as well as a new shift knob.   ;D

Boots are from JPM coachworks, going to look like this.  Should match the Damd steering well nicely.  Kind of wish now I had a 2010 with the black alcantara with red stitch in the seats.

Shift knob is a WC Lathe Werks GF4 stainless steel knob with a flat top, blue/bronze finish, similar to this:

Will get all this on at the same time as the steering wheel once it arrives.  Did I mention I love my wife, she is very thoughtful.

Entered a group buy on Nasioc for a vent gauge pod, see here for group buy: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2524539  Will probably do this and the SMY clustermaker pod.  Now just to decide on which gauges.  What the vent pod will look like:

I am not a huge fan of the previous gauge pod solutions for the GRs so I will see how this works out when I get it in September some time.  The other one I was looking at previously was from Monkey Bone Racing and goes in the centre vent area: http://www.monkeyboneracing.com/interior.asp I am not a fan of taking out both centre vents, plus the sight line for it is not as good as the single vent pod.

Shifter and brake boots have arrived.  Look and feel great, and I will get some pics up later today.  Won't be going in the car for the next few weeks as I am currently unable to.  I also have to find some good adhesive spray for the brake boot, suggestions are welcome,

Unfortunately my wife had them shipped via UPS and they bent us over to the tune of $40 in brokerage on top of the taxes.  She had the option of USPS, so lesson learned for next time.
