Bianca the AP2
« on: April 28, 2015, 11:35:00 pm »
Well, as many of you know I have been searching for my next 'car'.  My stipulations were that it needs to be rear wheel drive, 2 door, and a manual.  A bonus was that it would be a convertible.  Well, my search did not take long, and before I knew it I bought another car today.  It's a GPW 2007 Honda S2000.

The Italian name Bianca means "white" or "brilliant" and it fits the new car quite well.  I was referred to this car by a friend, it was not listed for sale yet, but I was able negotiate a deal before it was listed.  While I am happy with the deal, it is a bit more than what I wanted to spend.

I had some really crappy photos of the car to start but finally got jellynuts to come shoot it with LDS' Victoria and Ginger.

So, the plans for this car are very limited.  It is part of the reason I decided to sell my Subaru.  I don't want a car that I want to modify.  So, with that in mind here is the mod list:

Engine/Exhaust

UK Exhaust Mod (38mm pipe) Completed by Rick's Carline

Drivetrain
Fluids:
- Tranny =
- Rear Diff = LSD
- Engine = Redline

Suspension/Brakes
S2000 CR Alignment Specs
Ford Dot 4 Brake Fluid

Wheels/Tires
Summer Tires: Michelin Pilot SuperSports 225/45R17 Front, 245/40R17 Rear
Summer Rims: Stock AP2 V2 Wheels

Interior
Mini 0806 Dashcam, mounted in front of fairing
Lizard Skins Chain guards for Roof protection

Exterior
Full Xpel Ultimate Wrap

Yeah, it is slowly becoming the Western S2000 Club.  Acronym still works though.

May make Rathburn jealous though.  Yeah, I was waiting for the other shoe to drop, but I was pleasantly surprised.  As I said, car just needs a cleaning, it has two small imperfections I found when I went to see the car the first time, other than that, it is very clean and in very good shape.

Man, I really thought it was going to be a Corvette, but as soon as I saw that six-speed...

Many congrats to you, Adam!  It should make those parting tears less painful.

Fixed that for ya.

May make Rathburn jealous though.

We'll always have Fort MacLeod... Plus, it's not like I have any hair to feel the wind blow through when the top is down.

Congrats though. Incidentally, that was the same name I was considering if I picked up a white bike instead of a red one.

Nice! Get her shined up all pretty like and post some sunny pictures!

Garage pictures never do justice.

Yeah, those photos were quick shots in the garage.  Did not have a lot of time to do that tonight.  I will have a proper photo shoot done, probably by jellynuts, once she is cleaned up. At some point in May that will be done and I will update this thread.  I have to leave for work in the next day or so for a few weeks, and I know some people here knew about this, so I could not keep it secret in my garage too long.

So many S2000's! Looks beautiful and an amazing well kept example. I would love to get my hands on this (for detailing).

I feel a little miffed at this.

Also: UK exhaust mod. Do it. If I knew about it before the J's Racing, I probably wouldn't have ordered one.

Yeah, I would like that too, but I don't know that I will be able to get it up to Edmonton.

I will probably tackle detailing it myself this year.  I am still on the fence on whether I want to put 3M on it or not.

You know, I never liked a white car, but I don't mind the look of this one in white.

I would personally 3m the entire front end. Just make sure you remove all the defects prior to the installation.

Kudos on getting one without the hideous oem wing. Looks very clean. Did it come with a hard top? +1 with the 3m.

Yeah, I'd do the 3M thing too..  for me it'd be a redo because it's currently all yellowed.

Auto Obsessed quoted me $1200 to do the entire front end with Xpel.  I thought that was a little crazy.

If you're never going to winter drive it, 3M is mehhhhhhhh. Filling in, wet sanding, and polishing a few rock chips in the summer is fine. It's the winter time when your bumper turns into a pointillism of sadness.

Awesome! Make sure to give us your review after you've driven the car for a week or so. It's always interesting to hear what people say about the car after they've come from awd and torque.

Hopefully for not too long :D

Need to get the STi sold soon.  It is sitting in the car un-driven now.

Wise beyond your years.  For the age of the car it surprisingly has almost no rock chips in the front, but I am sure the low mileage helps that.

Will do, I have only driven it twice, and I have to travel for work soon.  Of course I will let you know when I get new tires on it.  The car still has the factory tires.  They are like hockey pucks now.
