10secdream's 2015 CWP WRX - Sold
« on: June 19, 2015, 08:28:37 am »
    10secdream's 2015 Subaru WRX Build
Picked up June 18, 2015 at Scott Subaru

After a long debate of going back and forth and looking at different new and used vehicles I decided to pull the trigger on a 2015 WRX as it does so many things well. I contacted a number of different dealerships hoping to find a remaining 2015 WRX Base. All the dealerships in Alberta had zero stock left as they are switching to the 2016 model. Scott Subaru in Red Deer was willing to help me out and located a vehicle in BC for me. They managed to negotiate a deal on a 2015 WRX Base in CWP and got it shipped to Red Deer right away. Overall I had a great experience with Scott Subaru and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a new Subaru.

My hope is to actually keep this vehicle for a decent amount of time but I have a terrible track record of keeping things for less than 3 years.

I picked the vehicle up last night. I made sure to let the dealership know that I did NOT want the vehicle detailed in any way shape or form. The only thing I agreed to is a touch-less car wash so I could inspect the vehicle for damage.

I picked the car up with 41kms on the odometer. I snapped a photo but it wasn't in focus.

Looks like they didn't detail the vehicle like I requested.

She looks sharp from a distance.

Since the vehicle came from BC the dealer decided to drill out the front license plate holes. Yay for 2 sets of license plate holes in my bumper :'(

Vehicle is going to need some polishing before clear film install. The heavily swirled areas are from the transport film and then removing the glue (I am guessing that is how they got there).

Too bad about those holes. Can't wait to see your write up on detailing this thing.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.
If you're having forum problems, I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but your post ain't one.

Congrats 10sec!  Sorry to see those holes...

My heart sank a bit when I saw them. Luckily a front plate delete / cover will mask them nicely. Out of sight out of mind.

You're gonna have to update your profile picture! Nice pick-up! These do seem like the better buy than the current STi's with the EJ.

It looks like they couldn't decide if they wanted to a standard 5 spoke or split 5 spoke design so they just did both. However they will perform just fine for winter duties.

x2 - They also look really sunken into the wheel arches in the back

Congrats on the new ride! I know how anal you are on paint and finish and know it's slightly ghetto but I've seen plate holes hidden with a dab of body color paint on the back of the 3m when it's applied. Just a suggestion of you're having it filmed and if it stands out too bad you're no further behind I you put a plate delete on after.

Congrats! how do you like it ?

So far I am loving it. Lots of low end torque and the ride is a good balance between comfort and sport. The fuel economy is really impressive as well.
