Weren't you just telling me that you were going to debadge it because you like the symmetry?

So where's the stripes on the other side?

I am debadging because I like the clean look to the car,  and M cars have way too many markers of self promotion on them.  It has nothing to do with symmetry.

The offset stripes is a nod to the early days of international sports car racing, when the driver was likely to be on either side of the car. These stripes were used so safety workers could come up to a wreck of any international race car and quickly know where the driver should be.

Grant gets it.

The math checks out.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.

Not sure why we're shitting all over the car. I think it looks good, and it's an obvious theme

Nobody's shitting on anything, I was merely suggesting a tweak to his ongoing theme that I thought would look really good on the car. It was then pointed out that another members car shares the same scheme. Sarcastic remarks were made. Light-hearted ribbings were exchanged. Laughs were had in the fashion of men, I'm sure Jackal would agree. No feelings were hurt here, good Sir Knight.

Meh. Rath and I have similar senses of humor, he just conveys it better In text. I'm more of an open mic guy.

Try the JDM sections. Their jimmies are easier to rustle than the bushes around a New Zealand farmers sheep sheering convention.

Subtle and understated? That's not what the Germans are known for.

I bet there's a forum tutorial there that goes into how to restore the colours using VERY AUZENTIC GERMAN NAIL POLISH, IT HAS SUPERIOR TEUTONIC ACETONE.

Gonna look good though. I can't wait.

Subtle and understated?

That's what I'm going for. Subtle and understated, just like me.  :sarcasm:  On the silver car they should look brilliant I think.  Subtle enough that they should require a second look.

I was fishing in a few directions and eventually a guy on Kijiji was eager to take on the project.  From acceptance to drop off (Yes,  he dropped them off to me at work),  it was three days.

He also worked with could only be considered an amateur 2D Visio diagram at best. He cleaned up a line or two,  got them cut on a water jet then engraved them for me.

All this work and he charged less than what a set I found on an archived (Zpost forum) "for sale" post for two! I'm considering getting a bunch made and selling them on that forum.  lol

That's pretty dope, I didn't realize they were custom. Now I'm thinking about the other stuff I've needed over the years...
