Hey I can finally see WSC at work again!

Wow. Grant I am glad to hear you are ok.  Poor car, but you live to drive another day.

I was wondering where the "don't post pictures of damaged cars on the internet because ASN and WCMA want to promote a safe sport" chat (or lecture?) came from before Solo started yesterday.

I was at the WCMA Annual General Meeting and heard no such thing, and I know the WCMA Autoslalom director personally & haven't been asked by him to not post them.

In my opinion, that is just some miscommunication happening & we're all a bit touchy/jumpy about things related to CSCC.

I would accept, "Please don't overdrive and damage yourself or your car, if things get crazy just shut it down & remember you're fighting for a $5 plastic trophy".

I have trouble with, "Please don't post your own pictures that you own all rights to." But I can understand that they might be Asking people to not start forum fear mongering about any incidents.

How does limiting photographic evidence make the sport any safer?

It's not to do with safety. It's to do with promoting a "safe" sport.
Not that it isn't safe, but it's not without risks obviously.

I have much to say about this, but I think I'll go post it on a forum where no one cares.

Let's promote guns as safe as long as we don't show any evidence of killing anything, only shooting targets.

It doesn't.

But badmouthing the organization/club/sport and having the incident picked apart by people who weren't there doesn't help make anything better either.

"I was racing, I crashed my car.  Here are the pictures of the damage."

That's really not badmouthing anything, is it?

Not at all, and that's a good summation of what I posted.

Badmouthing would be other people (who weren't there) saying that they'll then never run with that Club, or that the club wasn't being safe.

Ah fair enough.  I just read that statement from the CSCC, and, holy, comma splice, batman!

Wow, you still had the original dealer's key tag?
 :'(

Goodbye Soobie....

I believe that's an old pic.
If the sea was vodka, and I was a duck.
I would swim to the bottom, and drink my way up.
But the sea isn't vodka, and I'm not a duck.
So give me the vodka, and stfu.
If you're having forum problems, I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but your post ain't one.

I didn't say I agreed with it. Actions speak louder... etc and so on.

Wow.
I have mine too, wanna fight about it?

No I mean wow, I'm jealous. Mine didn't come with one (buying privately), so I never had a chance, but that's pretty awesome. And his is older, so it beats yours, but I don't own one, so you win.

So when do we get to see the unveiling of a new project?  Anything promising coming up?

I'll start a new thread when I'm done test-drive hell.  And it'll document it all...   :P

This project, sadly enough, is *done*.

Locked.  :(
